Suiting in public is so much fun! I've gone by myself and with a spotters, never with other suiters though.

After going to the convention I'm not afraid to go out in costume anymore but if anyone hasn't done it before I'd be willing to do it again, I just don't have a good spot in mind. I personally don't want to be around small kids if I do go out again, open to suggestions

I'd totally suit in public, would want to do it a few times at cons first and get comfortable with being in suit before doing it though xP

That's what it took for me. Especially having the convention badge so if people look at you funny you just hold it up and say "there's a convenation going on" even if it's not anymore

Fursuiting by yourself bears its risk but it's fun. If you go fursuiting in the middle of nowhere with almost no one around there is less risk (unless you get mauled by a grizzly).

Yet if there are people around you do no know and they do not know what this "mascot" is all about, you always want to have a spotter.

Im kinda loosing interest, it just dosnt seem like theres much point going in public. Id rather stick to people in the community almost everyones opinion of fursuiters is tainted by media. Theŕes the odd person whos really likes it and thats priceless but i get better reactions just wearing foot paws

I've been fursuiting in public by my self a couple of times it's fun

A guide/handler/spotter is always a good idea.   Any number of things can, and do go wrong.  At least with the extra eyes, you are less likely to be attacked from behind.

Drunken assholes can easily ruin your suit with no consideration as to cost to buy or repair.. To them is is fun.  To you it is lots of money. Take a non suited with you.
