Please Bring Back Registration Options

The ability to click "register" and be put on a list with a simple gesture would really help those planning events, and those going to said events. It has been a -very- long time since the option to register has been available and I really, really, -really- want to see it implemented again.

We shouldn't have to go onto Google or anything else to make a registration form when this site already has a registration option. It use to and it was never fixed when everything exploded a while back. There is still stuff that needs to be fixed on the site, and registration has been one of the top ones for a lot of people - and it's ridiculous that it's been what, at least two years since it's worked? Or longer?

Registration is also not just for the hosts, but for the guests as well. I get at least one "Will ____ be there? Because I can/can't go if they are, because of _______." every month - and every month I have to tell people that I don't know because 90% of people going to my events don't tell me they are going to be there. In fact more people tell me they won't be there than will be there (which is kinda pointless but at least I know they aren't coming - but still not enough people do this to balance anything out).

No offense to anyone, but people are lazy as hell. And they don't want to physically write that they will be going to something or not. People are more likely to go to an event if it's easy to register and they see people they want to meet are on a nice, simple list. And having registration on this forum is super important so people can see the list, they can see where their friends are going to be, they can coordinate better, especially for those having events or get-togethers that post it here. I know I certainly would look at a list of registered people and if I saw just one person I knew and liked I'd do my damnedest to be there just to hang out with that one person. It really does increase how many people come and how many people are aware, and it's a huge help to the hosts.

People don't want to read through pages of comments to see if someone they like/don't like will be there or not. And that goes for all events.

On top of that - if the forum got back it's registry, the events that have a limited amount of people that are allowed to come will disallow others to register after a certain amount (if one has been set) by the host. It makes life easier for -everyone- just to simply fix the problem that so many people like, rely on, want back, and made life simpler for guest and host alike. And I truly believe there would be better turn outs if it was brought back.

I remember I would read the registration list for Howl and get excited every time I read it because I would see all the people I know that are going. In fact any registration list for any event I am curious about would get me excited to go if I saw a name of a person on the list that I wanted to see or hang out with.

Please, please please bring it back. I host events monthly, sometimes weekly, and others want so bad to host meets and such too, and this would be a HUGE help to all of us if you could bring it back... Please? I don't want to beg, but I am talking to a few people and it just seems like it could be a huge thing for the forums to get more active again.

I don't have facebook, I don't have other programs, and like many other people, I rely on the forums to let people know of events and such. This one thing could change the face of events for the better so fast. So I implore you, please bring back the registration option.

Thank you for listening!

Sincerely,
Star Wonder~

I agree, it was a kinda cozy feature I'd enjoyed and it also kept some of the clutter away from the main posts. I know I always loved looking through the list and thinking "This will be a great event!"

That, and.... PROFILES! :-3

edit: but at least the top of the page stops hollering at me to go to sleep at 1am.
