I am not new to writing, but I am quite new to good writing.w.

To wit, I am overcoming verbosity, but still lacking in substance.w.

As such, I'd like some tangible advice asides from

the generic 'read more books'.w. as a reader/reviewer once told me.w.

i am not quite sure what your question is; you are looking for advice on good writing? i think you said you want to be witty but without excess verbiage. the best wit is usually subtle and quick. i also find people tend to use big words when they really arent needed. sometimes the simple words work best when they are appropriate.

my writing tends to be extremely detailed and precise. but for that trade-off, it takes me for ever because have to check everything meticulously for contradictions or continuity errors. let me know what type of writing you are looking to do. it has been a long time for me though but i still love writing. this is me http://warrior-27.deviantart.com but sadly i have only done video games and no furries :(
