Buddy

Is it just me or is the fandom getting allot of young furs or am i just aging enough to notice?

professor whovianart

nope, your just ancient, time to pull the dirt over yourself :)
you should join the "Ethereal friends of professor whovianart" on facebook, if anything, to find out where i currently am, or will be.

Yeah. Yuo're just old. I remember you when you were just a wee sprite. It's been awhile Buddy. The years creep up on you. Just remember to have fun.

I got into the fandom way back when I was 13 myself, I wouldn't say the fandom is getting younger by any means, its staying rather consistent. Most furs seem to pop up between the ages of 15 and 20 during the biggest "who am I" phase and from that plateau the numbers begin to slowly decline with age (less and less older furs with)

Ember

I think that the ratio is about the same but the group has gotten a lot bigger so you notice "more" young people while proportionally it's the same.

Yea, I feel old too, but maybe just out of the loop.  The 'New furries' boards have no familiar names (except one).  But some of us have been kicking around on the internet FOREVER.. like, when a google search for something specific would bring up an actually readable number of pages, and you might actually read them all.  (I remember when there was exactly ONE praying mantis caresheet on the internet..   It makes me feel really wierd sometimes that there's so much content now that you'd never actually be able to get through it all.)

Also, Drake.. Damn!  Nice new avatar!

In this fandom I feel like some sort of pseudo furry-veteran for having surpassed that 10 year mark, in fact for me this august marks the 13th year O.=.o Though its more of a bitter sweet feeling at times for the same reason you mentioned, its hard to find old friends who are still actively around (but also a reason to celebrate when ya see them!) It becomes easy to feel like we are just a different generation at times. Hell I could have a conversation on perceived changes in the fandom for a good few hours because its something interesting to me.

Also thanks on the avatar, have had it for a while X3

I KID I KID! XD but ah, I know what you mean, Budd... the fandom's just growing.
I am but a blade in the crowd.

I have seen what comes of those who raise themselves above others.
