Fake fur (samples?)

I want to start working on a number of fursuit projects. Before I can, I'd like to know what stores have a good selection and are willing to offer samples, even if its for a charge. I know Dressew has something of a selection, though it is a bit expensive, and they never get the same things again and again.

I know someone mentioned Mendels? I'm sure there are other places as well. I'd just like to hear from those who have had some experience with ordering and non-local stores.
