Getting to know members of the fathom is always a great experince. You connect online and get to exchange similar thoughts and value. Soon enough you see that events are scheduled for members to meet in person and this is where the real valuable experience come in.
In order to organize an event, be it a dinner meet or an event in a private home such as a game night, one participant needs to step up and host this event. I can't think of anyone who has stepped up as much then Gizmo did over the course of the past few years. Aside from being a key person at Vancoufur he has organized countless events over the course of the past months, whether it is a furry swim, furries on the beach, furry potlucks as well as several camping trips, Campfur being the most prominent one.
In addition to plan these events and making sure it works as planned, he went the extra mile to make sure as many participants join the event by offering rides.
The events he has hosted, making sure every participant brings back good memories, has offered countless opportunities for members in the fathom to meet in person. This makes a huge difference when most participants get to know one another through the online portal. His efforts need to be valued and appreciated for he has contributed significant time, expertise and logistical knowledge to bring us together. I look forward to the next events he will be hosting.

my sentiments exactly.  if it wasn't for Gizmo and his fun events, who knows where some people in the fandom would be.  he provides a place, an event, and other means for others to get together to meet and have a great time.  he has also been a good friend to me as he has listened to my bs and helped me realize some things i could not see, and given me great help and advice. 

thank you Gizmo for without you i have no idea of where i would be right now.

I can't say I've met Gizmo a lot of times, but the times I've met him, he and his cheery disposition keeps everybody in a good mood, including mine.  :-3
