Just a little rant

Am I the only person who is driven insane when I see posts on facebook between couples who just have to write lovey-dovey messages to each other so that everyone can see. I don't know why it bothers me so much, but to me its like they are just screaming for attention and want everyone to look at their relationship. This has actually cost me a relationship once as I have never and will never post messages like that and I got dumped because I wasnt affectionate like they were, even though I was planning on breaking off the relationship, but was beaten to the punch. Does anyone else want to flip a table when they see garbage like that in their newsfeed? Though don't get me wrong I'm not against showing your affection to some one, just not publicly to bother everyone.
I've always been told to never look a life behind a window to go outside and join the world, but what about the world behind that window makes the outside so much better?

I've got one who keeps sharing those images with quotes and sayings about love and relationships that he keeps tagging his girlfriend with.
And then they broke up and he couldn't stop whining and posting images with quotes about being single and being better off that way. So much self-denial.

I removed him from friends list.  ;D

I'd flip a table, though since its the internet, there's another 1,000,000,001 things to flip tables over. So its best to just ignore.

I have people on my facebook from back in the day when i needed "friends" to help out with games, and occasionally these pop up and it can be very annoying. some do it well, and make it not so obvious, but some just do it to be seen, I swear.  The fact you got dumped because you didn't want to spam friends feeds with a series of micro love letters is a good thing. You shouldn't feel obliged to do so, just because you two are together.

Another I hate about some posts is where I'm supposed to share or be damned for some reason;
"I don't have a heart just because I don't want to spam people with your re-post?".
"I'm going to hell, just based on the fact I didn't re-share your image?"
I don't mind re-share if I feel like it, but being told to "or face the consequences" type stuff drives me nuts.

Back to the original topic, It's ok to post every so often with an "i love you" on someone's wall, but there are some cases I do believe it's more, as you say, a call for attention. A case of "Look at me" syndrome.

Yeah, best summed up as attention whores. Though I was guilty of this as well... when I was 18 lol when I see 20-somthing and older doing it and saying that whole "omg we are gonna be together for ever!" It makes me wanna pull up a chair, grab some popcorn and go "okay either the guy cheats or the woman goes crazy in... 20..19..18..." because its rather predictable. But that's typical infatuation for ya, they are so blinded by it in the heat of the moment that usually after a few weeks to months of lovey dovey-ness and Hal-mark one liners on every social media sight they are a part of they suddenly start to see the big differences they have and then the relationship falls apart.

I would know cause I was there myself when I was younger.

This is why I don't use Facebook.

In addition, I see that this online "soap opera / R&J " may be a pretty big problem for many FBers, but thankfully it isn't for me.

I still don't get why people are deleting their facebook because of the way certain people act, I mean the block option was added for a reason. Sure some people are annoying, but it helps you connet with other people and organize event.
