Paws!

This was my project of the last few days.



Paw hands and feet and a set of ears for my fursona Nuka.

I haven't done any sewing since grade 8 so it was fun to relearn.
I want to try and make a head but that won't be until after my Chian trip in March. I have to commission for the tail though, the design is to complicated for me to make.

What do ya think? I need to get some shots of me wearing them...

They look great!! as for the tail(I'm guessing it's for the fox creature with the faded blue tail in your signature)


That is actually kind of easy!

All you need to do is sew a white tail in the shape you want then airbrush or dry brush blue on to it(start with the lightest blue and work your way to the darkest)

Thanks! I thought about using white fur, but I don't have an airbrush machine. What's dry brushing?

it's exactly that! It's where you brush on pain without much water(hence DRY brush)

I have done this in the past, it does take some work to pull off nicely but it can lead to some nice results!

The best way I did it was I made  the tail I was painting and then I took a tooth brush and "brushed" the fur in both directions. As it dried(so I didn't pull out too mush fur) I combed the fur using a fine toothed comb.

then TA DA I had a painted tail!!(tho do brush it after with a wire pet brush to get the crusties out :P)
