Ocelot Onca (Visiting Aug 24th)

Hey all I am a 28 year old Ocelot from Boston, MA, USA trying to transition to B.C. - I'm enrolling in BCIT ( http://epsilon.mooo.com/maps/bcit ) and am seeking a couch or better accommodations. I have references and already know a couple who live here ( http://epsilon.mooo.com/maps/port-coquitlem ) but they have no need for a pet ocelot. *sniff-sniffs* here's my former home ( http://epsilon.mooo.com/maps/potter ) and my current temporary domicile ( http://epsilon.mooo.com/maps/potter ). If you are hearing my plea, send me some advice, forward me a link or some information or at the very least step out of the shadows and introduce yourself. It's very scary to do this alone.

I'm not sure how / where I'm going to sleep, when I get into town. I adamantly dislike hotels, for a multitude of reasons. I'd enjoy camping as I am an avid camper, but I wouldn't know where to go, that allows me access to the college and transit system. I'd also like to be presentable. I'm reaching out for a fur or two to show me around and forge some friendships. It's very scary to travel such a distance, but I'd love to make this move permanent. I know it probably won't work out that way and I also have an apartment here as a contingency next to my college and close to the subway, grocery store, but I don't want it.  I'm planning to arrive with very little in tote, a tent and sleeping bag + clothes, a passport, a phone and some really important documents. Everything else I wanted to buy upon arrival and maybe get some new clothes if the opportunity comes up. Well, I hope to meet some of you. Please don't be shy around me. I'm not judgmental. Come abduct me for a day and show an ocelot a good time. I think of myself as open minded and fun loving. I enjoy mt biking, hiking and love to swim. I enjoy brewing and like to drink in moderation, pots ok but cigs aren't. I'll go running if motivated and play just about any sport if needed. I renounce materialism centric lifestyles but don't condemn it and even ascribe to it sometimes. I like shiny things as much as the next cat.

I'm booking reservations at Whistler and going to try to rent a mountain bike and camp out there. I'm really looking forward to it, going alone always sucks, but meh. I'm going to take the train up and back, though during my stay I'll hop the shuttle (or cover gas if there are any adventurous driving furs out there) on more then one occasion and explore Vancouver, hopefully figure out the schedules before hand. Anyone familliar with this stuff, drop me a line please. I'll have a hotel and maybe some adventerous guests, I cant do better than 80 a night, but that's pretty good, I'll probably book for 11 days.
