Female? ...Single? ...Furry?

I may or may not have a different outlook on things. I lost my marriage in February, and it has given me something of a new perspective on dating and relationships in general. I was involved with my wife for four years, after a history speckled with the odd casual relationship prior. I realized that they all had one specific thing in common: A single fulcrum. Some sole point within the relation that matters pivoted upon, collapsing every time once the lever left the fulcrum. I suppose the cautionary point here, is this: If your goal is an actual relationship, as I've said before, broaden your friendship first. I do not make a habit of approaching others with the intent to seek a relationship. I'm really quite bad at forming even so much as a friendship, and unfortunately that's part of having my mind firmly rooted in autistic genetics. As ethan said, there are times in your life when it is simply best to take comfort in a solitary stretch, knowing that your peace is yours alone. I am learning to adapt. Sooner or later, I'll find stability in that state, or I'll begin dating once again, and so will most of you; Barring chance, it's a long life you're likely to lead, and age is no barrier to someone joining you later on the walk.

I'm ok with being single. I don't chase after things that will find to me first.
I'm pretty weird since personally I like the feeling of being alone for long periods of time.
My art and I have had some pretty romantic dinners of one.  Ive also been really busy lately.

Not saying I hate relationship or that I dislike them.
There fun while they last. c:

But then again you cant just wait around for something that might or might not happen. If you want something then you pursue it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. We all want those story book movie romances, but the sad truth is it doesnt always come to that.
Yeeeeah, but then there are people that put a list of things they are looking for in a mate in their profiles... and people like me don't like seeing things like "-Skinny" ... 'cause that rules us out right there. ;)

Britt: Thanks.  :gay:

Zetta: . . . Thanks.  :gay:

People change man, people change.

It's hilarious how after you read what Zenia posted you changed your profile.
Change is good for alot of people. It gives you alot more options.

I also like the idea of girls asking guys out. Just thought I would bring this up.
I mean it's 2011. We do as we please. we are equal to guys. I don't see it happen very often.
It's cute, But girls are discouraged when guys make lists.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the old fashion guys asking the girls.

Also I thought this was cool.

I respectfully agree with everything here, since I also have trouble keeping friendships. (same autistic roots) In my young days, bridges crumbled nearly non-stop. Nowadays, they weaken, but don't completely crumble. (AKA, after an incident, we'll be down to colleagues instead of friends)

I find apologies are a band-aid to bridges, but never the full fix. As proved recently with someone I cannot divulge.

I am thankful work in the TV Diploma keeps me diverted from soul searching, but it's going to take a lot to gain a true friend that I can keep for a VERY long time. Oh well... I guess my work is my savior for now.
