So, thanks to a random conversation with a friend of mine, I thought I'd settled on a fursona, but even as I type this I'm gravitating to something else.

Is "Shapechanger" a viable fursona?  :-[ I keep wanting to be too many things.

Shapechanger is definitely a viable fursona Ren! If gendershifters are acceptable I don't see why spahechangers wouldn't be! I can't speak for everyone else here though....

I couldn't decide between two, so I'm a cross-breed.  Shape changers are viable, so are multiple fursonas.  There are plenty of furs who have a main one, then other ones.  Even various ones to suit their mood!
