Honestly, I feel like this board should have sections for each region of BC, rather than just Lower Mainland and everywhere else.  I understand there are more people in the lower mainland than the rest of BC, but that just makes this feels like a Vancouver board with a single spot for everyone else rather than a BC board.  I mean, I know I live in a region where I am pretty much the only fur but I'm not saying this for myself here.  It'll keep things more organized than just a "Rest of BC" section.

It was worse, it was Vancouver, the Island, the rest of the world.  At least now the rest of BC is separate from the rest of the world.  I'd go one further in the rest of the world section and separate the Canada events, to give the up-and-coming cons in the rest of Canada (Furnal Equinox etc) a bit more prominence.

And in the process, different types of events were seperated into groups in the lower mainland... but not the rest.

Maybe this should be voted on... see who thinks what should be which way, and go by majority...

Vote seems fine to me.  And saying it was worse before doesn't mean it still can't be improved.  Because again, this honestly feels like the place is designed primarily as a Vancouver forum rather than a BC forum.

I wasn't implying that the arrangement of the boards couldn't be improved; in fact, I agree that the other regions of BC should have more prominence.  The current Vancouver-centric arrangement seems to be somewhat of an inhibition to furs in the interior fully participating.

I propose rest of BC get separated into the following:

Fraser Valley - Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission

Northern BC - Prince George, Prince Rupert, Terrace

Okanagan - Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, Merritt

Rest of BC - areas that aren't really covered by the above.

Any suggestions of other major regions to add?

Honestly, kinda yeah.  See I'm in Kitimat and we get pretty offended when we get called part of Terrace since they keep diverting funds away from us and whatnot.  The region is called Skeena and it's right next to the Bulkley Valley. >.>

Relax.  *Noogies*  I'm surprised you even heard of that crapshack bunch of thieves called Terrace.  And yes I am not joking when I said thieves.  They hired collecters to take our high school band's instruments.  Turned out those instruments were not school property and actually were paid for by the students.  Those were private property.  They also closed down a school here while terrace has two empty schools that are totally unused yet they are still spending money on them for maintenance and power bills.  But anyways,  just a little fact checking goes a long way but you don't really need to stress over it.  It's just better, tactfully, to say Northern BC would be Skeena and Bulkley valley and stuff like that rather than individual towns.

Yea i live in terrace and its pretty crappy. I visit kitimat sometimes on saturdays but it seems theres no furs around here.

The problem with that is you really want each forum to have some kind of critical mass. If some of them end up unused then it's not really worth the effort of making them, and if we start arbitrarily dicing up the province I think people are less likely to find each other, if that makes any sense.

There are some logical divisions - Island, Greater Vancouver, Northern BC, Southern BC. Just sayin.
