Hey, I don't know if there's any movie geeks or collectors in the group, but if you're interested in buying stuff that has been used in local movies, you might want to check out Filmgo Sales, on Skeena Street (it's across from the Walmart on Grandview Highway).
They've got a bunch of furniture and various other things in on consignment, apparently quite a bit of good stuff, but one of the fellows I work with told me they got a huge stash of old stuff from an independent distributor - it includes a whole pile of actual movies (he found an old Hal Roach Laurel and Hardy film, still in its metal travel case, for $65!), along with projectors, equipment, etc.
Might be worth a trip if anyone's into that kind of thing.

Awesome ... I'll have to make the jaunt there sometime.
