Looking for a Single Burnaby/New West Apartment

A friend has asked me to help him find an inexpensive place to rent North of the Fraser (Burnaby or New West), with the intention of moving in this July or August.  My knowledge of this process is inadequate, so if anybody hears of such availabilities or knows where I might look to find them, please let me know here.
