Hey everyone. It's your most confusing furry friend shiro ink winter!

So I've had some thoughts about my life as of recent, and I think I really want to change how my life is. I'm not pleased with a lot of things about myself, including but not limited to weight, appearance, attitude, etc. Ultimately I'm going to change everything bad about myself into something not as bad. Haha!

I guess I kinda wanted to ask for a few things from you guys, though. For starters,  how do you get motivated? What motivates you to wake up in the morning and excersize? To wake up and not eat a thousand cookies?

Second, is there anyone in the victoria / langford area looking for a workout buddy? The easiest way to get myself motivated is if I have someone doing it with me x3x

Third, do you guys have any organizational tips? Lifehacks? Nifty tricks? I have a hard time keeping my stuff in orderly condition heh. I'm a messy person, what can I say...

Anyway, I'm writing this durring my 2 am high st work. I really wanna get better, and all the help I can get helps!

Here's to getting better!

If you want to wake up in the morning and exercise, you gotta have a clear goal and plan in mind. Your motivation is why you want to do it, why you're willing to go through a lot of trouble to do it. It's gotta be a good one, and it has to be for you not anyone else.

Exercising is hard, it's hard to motivate yourself. But you can't give yourself any excuses, you want to feel healthy and look good you gotta do it, no ifs ands or buts. It's going to be hard, it really is going to be hard. You know what they say though, anything worthwhile doesn't come easy.

If you want to rely on  a workout buddy to help you, make sure it's someone dedicated. You want someone who's going to help motivate you to get going, not someone who's going to be "ehh, I didn't go today because I feel like it."

What you eat is very important as well. It's just as important as exercising. While it is fine to eat junk food once in a  while, you don't want it to be a common occurence. One thing that will help you keep track of your intake, keep a list of what you eat throughout the day, you'd find yourself surprised

I quit eating junk food lately. (Besides the occasional cheesecake because that stuff is amazing.) I rarely ever drink pop anymore. (I avoid Coca-Cola like it's the plague.) But I usually try and eat healthy whether it's vegetables, fish, or meat. I also try and go biking on the days that I don't work. I find biking to be a lot of fun. I ride a mountain bike but I go everywhere on that thing. It'd great exorcize too. :)

I'm happy to see a fellow Langfordite here. Makes the whole world a lot smaller. Although I'm closer to the edge of Metchosin than I am to Langford. For quote some time now I have been out of motivation and commitment. It seems like the more I want to try to do something, the more I don't want to do it. I have never once in my life woken up in the morning to exercise. In fact, I've never done personal training or exercise outside of PE, and the last time I did that was 3 years ago. I don't know how I still weigh 150 pounds. Being 6 feet tall, the weight I take on just seems to disappear, despite sitting at the computer day in and day out.

Until recently, that is how I lived. Now, I say recently because recently I have attempted to change my outlook on how I want to treat myself and my health. Once upon a time I promise myself I would live forever, and it occurred to me that if I want to make that a reality, I need to start acting like it. While I've got some upper body muscle from work, my heart could use a steady workout schedule, seeing as how I can only run for about 30 seconds before I die.

So, to answer your question, my motivation comes from the one of the only things I hold onto these days. My beliefs. But also my passion for going fast. I've started taking long walks and jogs at night, down the road to my old school. It's not much, but it's something. I'm not really into the whole working-out sort of deal, but keeping fit through daily exercise is something I am definitely looking to try more.

As for organization, I am a highly organized person because I like to keep my life free of clutter. My room is clean and organized as are the files on my desktop. My hair is neat, my clothes are folded, and my bed is made.

If you wanna go for a jog sometime with me in the evening after the sun sets (god knows it's too bloody hot out during the day) I'd totally be down. I agree with you that doing something with a friend is much more motivational than trying to do something by yourself!
