hehe it will be my first con as well, so don't feel like you're the only one, I really don't know what's happening there as well, glad I have some people that will show me around there
I'd rather die on paws than live on feet.

Yeah, everyone is a little nervous at their first con.

You don't need to worry about not being included in activities because you don't have a suit; most of the people there will not have full suits, and the fursuit games are only part of the program. And, they are terribly fun to watch!

I would say just relax, mingle, and enjoy yourself. Meet some new furs, make some new friends, and take in the experience.

Oh, and I'll leave a link to the Howloween website for you guys as well, so you can take a look at the schedule and what not for the event. Click the red writing, and away you go! ^.~

Howl is a great starting point for locals who wanna get some of that con feel without diving into the deep end of like trying to hit up a big con right away, hehehe. As for suit stuff, I went for a few years with nothing more than a tail, the fursuiting aspect of it all isn't too huge of a thing cause its a smaller event.

You can think of it as just one big furry hangout, meet up with some friends, play some games, go dancing. its pretty much what ever you wanna make of it. ^.=.^

Howl isn't exactly a convention; it's more like a big Halloween-themed party run by furries. It can be a lot of fun especially if you're the outgoing party type.

If you're nervous, this is your first big event, or your social skills aren't reasonably strong, definitely go along with people that you're comfortable around. If you don't have any furry-friendly buddies you can bring along, try to arrange meeting-up with someone you know already within the community. Going by yourself to large social events like this often lead to boredom or leave you feeling left-out if you're not good at quickly making acquaintances and buddying-up with new people.

If you ARE a social butterfly and can handle a bunch of random people of different creeds and colours, this will be a great gig for you. Go drink, dance, make new friends and have a ball.
