Finally I have found a place to post:

I will make this simple and painless, I have and am looking for a local group of furries.

After volunteering with a furry podcast called Furcast, i continuously hear questions such as:

"There are no furries in my area?" and "I need to find a place where furries are?"

It has finally come to me, where I can see what they mean. I have longed for a group of furries to hang out with, especially in my area. So this is where you can help... please...

I live near Mt.Doug  in Victoria, attending Q College studying Web Development and Digital Media, I would love to get out and meet some furs like me (or close enough.)

It has gotten to the point where i stay up at night and wait for something to happen. Now getting this off my chest I can sleep. If you are willing to lend a paw and let a lone wolf join your clique, I bet we could find some really interesting things.

I know you don't want some random joining, thats why I am setting my profile to look pretty,

If you want to know specifics, please shoot me an email @: theteawolf@live.com

I thank you for your time to read this,

Well, simple yes, painless? not quite!
I do want to address a few things for you though:

QuoteIf you are willing to lend a paw and let a lone wolf join your clique
1) I'd like to say the Victoria and island furs as a whole are not overly cliquey. Yes, people have some friends closer than others, that's life.
That said however, I suppose that's how everyone has come off to you...so I suppose maybe we should consider that possibility.

QuoteI know you don't want some random joining,
2) There are more than 20 people in the last year that will attest to the fact that we actually DO want random's joining. When Mikomi and I decided on the rules for the meets, the very first one we both agreed on was "There are no exclusions". The meets wouldn't be hitting the 25+mark if we were exclusionary.

QuoteIt has gotten to the point where i stay up at night and wait for something to happen
3) Well then little wolf, get off your ass and get to the meet! It's every second Sunday of the month(PM and I'll shoot you the address), there is also a regular sushi night Theron runs (ask him for details, my memory is foggy), as well as our holiday/seasonal events such as the upcoming Christmas Dinner, which Theron also organizes. Moreover, many of us are attending Howloween in Vancouver this weekend, if you're planning to attend, let us know, many of us would be happy to meet and hang out there.

Any more questions?

I couldn't have said it better my self Kyroo.

Everyone is welcome to my month meets and any other events that I host ( usually other people's events are the same mentality) .
The meets are the second Sunday of every month. I am also going to start up the ice skating and various other little events around Vic.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns I would be happy to help!

Look forward to seeing you around!

Welcome, welcome!! n_n
I'm sure we'll meet sooner or later if you're going to start attending the events. Everyone is really friendly, like Kyroo said!

Victoria furs do exist but you can't hold a conversation like an adult and ontop of that you are a drama queen so no one wants to hang out with you.

Except for me. I'm a total jerk that should be avoided like the plague. At least that's what they all tell me.

This island has more furs than it knows what to do with, the trick is to kick them all in the tails and get them out and socializing! But even with that, most meets around this part get anywhere from 10 to nearly 30 furs on average. You at least are in one of the best locations for meets as the rest of the island is either too scattered or too much in hiding to seem to get a lot off the ground.

Me, I am holding down the Duncan fort for now with my mate and a small group of other furs, and by holding down the fort I mean we all hide indoors till the mouthwash and grey-hair tides recede, Its sorta like zombie survival rules. XD
