Found these little wigglies in the storage room, on a jacket. I think they're moths.

Anyone have any experience trying to raise these little guys? or have any important notes about keeping 'em warm and lighting, what they can eat?
This is the current habitat I got for them.

They're all, 3, laying cozy on the lettuce. Put a piece of t-shirt ontop to keep'em warm. Stored them in a drawer to keep it dark, I think they might be UV sensative.

never tired to raise moths. but it cant be to different from the butterfly I once hatched. thou I really did not do much help just kept (forthe sake of talking going to call it a her ) her in my truck where I found her on the Visor ( this was a tow truck from years ago that I used to drive when I lived in Williams lake ) anyways long story short. I just copied the environment that I took her from and did the same with lighting. temp ect. that I moved her from into a controlled environment. but she hatched and she was a very Beautiful Butterfly I have pictures somewhere just cant remember what harddrive I have them stored. but ya I really did not do much she did all the work herself I Just copied the environment.

They could be Indianmeal/pantry moths.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indianmeal_Moth

If they are, these are considered a pest (a rather hard to remove one). I would highly suggest against raising them if they are. Pantry moths can become a large infestation rather quick. They feed on grains and have a rapid life cycle. They will get in to your flower, starches and other grains and build large nests in them. The larvae then crawl out to various area away to become moths who lay more eggs in your dry goods.

That's really cool that you decided to try and raise them.  Did you end up having any success?

So far one out of the three have hatched. The other two are still alive but still little squirmies. It seems the one that hatched liked the patch of discarded t-shirt. If the other two don't show any signs of nesting I've been debating on whether to transfer them.

Here's some recent pictures. http://postimg.org/gallery/95uyo7h6/634674b9/

How's you been? Haven't seen you inawhile. Coming across to Howloween this year?

I hope to, yea.  We've been reclusive pretty hard as we've had a kid and are SO busy.  :)  Less so now that everything's calmed down and we're settled into the new house.  Hope to see you, too.  :)
