I dunno. People who cannot see colours can apparently see better in the dark.
Kinda makes me a little envious.

Visible light is just an arbitrary frequency we chose between infrared (not reliable when its dark and you are alone) and Ultaviolet (not out at night, and harmful if we need it constantly to see)

Above is of course a random theory. I've never read anything about it. But it makes sense that certain animals "see" colours differently, as they have no need to see as many as us to survive.
