what EVENTS would you like to see?

there are lots of events happening but not everyone is interested in all the events.  i have some ideas about what could be a fun get together afternoon or night but i have no idea of how many others would also be interested.

there is the furbowl, and furswim and sushi, and dinner meets and more but ......

i am asking about things that interest you.  what about laser tag, indoor go carting, paintball, skiing, snow boarding, snow shoe hikes, even to the extreme of rock climbing, and lots more.  keep in mind some things that a fur suit could be worn at.  can you picture a group of suiters slooshing down the slopes on skis or snow boards?

these are just ideas for events.  give your suggestions and maybe before you know it, that event is happening.

if you have a passion for the event, you could organize something.

I'm potentially interested in most of those, though I don't suit and I'm not a terribly good organizer (or, rather, I'm a decent organizer but I find organizing very stressful).

Would that I still lived out there, Tokar. It's not friendly to suiting, but I'd be all over rock climbing, cycling, jam nights, book clubs, et cetera et cetera. It's nice to see someone opening up the discussion, though!

I always try and organize some ice skating every winter. Both suit friendly and not!

In my eyes not every event, even if possible to suit at, should have suits! Some times it's just nice to spend time with people and do stuff!

Cycling would be cool, though we're coming into the bad time of year for it at the moment. And I'm always down with reading - I'm already in one SF/fantasy book club with some former coworkers.

as far as suiting goes, my intent was for the imagination to  think of 'possible' events that a suit 'could' be worn.  for example, snowshoeing in the winter, someone 'could' have a suit on.  heck the person in the suit might be the warmest one out there.  i was not intending that all the events be suit friendly, but ask that you suggest some that 'could' be.  like bowling, suiting is not a requirement.  just like swimming is NOT suit friendly.

I like the sound of pretty much all these things. I would organize something but I have an extremely bad track record for getting people to participate in things.

I might still ride mine if we get some decent weather between now and when it starts to get icy. I'm not really happy when I'm not getting regular exercise.
