spam, possible virus? yahoo account hack

many of you may have gotten a strange email from me, apparently either yahoo mail is infected with a virus since it's a web based mail and I'm on a mac. either that or my yahoo account was hacked, , I changed my password. please disregard any email from me with a strange URL. My apologies.

on yahoo.ca i have gotten emails from myself that i did not send.  something about viagra and other drugs i am not interested in

@ Rascal purdy sure you got a virus or at least spyware on your computer.

-Enter safemode w/networking, download and install
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

(both are anti-malware software)
-run both in long scan. (should take 1-1.5hr to complete)
-change password on any effected account.
-delete temp files stored in %temp% and in the standard temp folder.
@ Tokar, I recommend you do the same. However, You just may have been added to a mailing list, so make sure to mark messages as spam to avoid e-mails from those addresses.

this is windows only, I use a mac OSX intel. just updated apple security.besides yahoo is a web based mail, not computer based.
