Does your family know you're furry?

I don't try to hide it too much. I've told a group of my closest friends and they embraced it, which worked out well for me.  :thumbs:

As far as family goes, the only one who knows outright is my younger sibling... no-one else knows, and I don't really care if they know or not. I don't go to great lengths to hide it (aside from the collar I bought... I keep that tucked away), but I keep things pretty private from the rest of my family. They don't know a lot about me, and i'm fine with that.

My family started to suspect I was furry when my beard grew into my chest hair. They suggested I shave...  :-3

The beauty of being a cartoonist is that you never have to explain your fascination with charismatic animals. You just refer people to your influences (Talespin and Treasure Planet) and plod on your merry way.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't considered myself a furry since people people started asking "You mean like in CSI?". I appreciate the community though, and I dig speedcore, and I can't enjoy porn with humans in it anymore, so... Yeah. Hai!

They're kinda amused by it. They make fun of me about it, but it's honestly only in jest. They approach the fandom and my lifestyle with interest and curiosity. I love my folks.

My sisters know, and oddly enough, they seem to have there own curiosity in the fandom. My parent's on the other hand, don't know, but i'm sure they wouldn't really care. Their mindset is, if I'm happy, whatever. My mum says the same about me being gay really .

Yeah, funny enough, they just embrace it.

When I was younger my parents made up their own fursonas to support me.  Sometimes I come over to their place with friends wearing tails, ears etc, and they just go with it....

I still haven't come out to my parents. I don't want to give them two shocks in such close timeframe to each other. I only recently told them I was bi, lol. I do, however, fully believe they'd be fine with it. They have been with my sexual preferences, so why not.
