Old-school wizard of the MU* variety...

So, I thought I'd say 'hi' - I'm pretty undecided/casual/'borderline' in whether or not I'd call myself furry, but I seem to have a lot of friends who are, and I figure I may as well come out of my shell and try to make more. XD

I'm on a whole bunch of different places, but started when I was 11 or 12 on Sonic SatAM-themed MU*s of the time, bouncing around the different ones - new ones, old ones, ones that imploded, and ones that at the time just began, and settled in as Co-God of ChaosMUCK for a few years, off and on. Chaos is pretty much dead now (though it is still running), and I keep in touch with old friends across Fluff, Furry, and SPR, as well as a very recent dabbling in Second Life (that seems to be the new craze if you have the computer for it :P).

I've never been to a con or really any event save one - I kind of lurked at the Howloween bowling after-party last year and helped my friend Matrices (as Beef Jerky! :D) take pictures and video, having known her online for years and finally getting to meet her while she was up here, etc. n.n I hope I didn't offend.

Anyway, like I said - I'm just kind of dipping my toes in the water, so to speak, but hi.

Welcome to the forums. It's cool that you managed to check out at least one furry event. Have a good time at the bowling? If your local, defiantly check out the furmeet comin up. Those are always a blast.

I didn't actually bowl, myself, since really I kind of just showed up uninvited and didn't chip in for a lane or anything - I just helped take pictures. That said, it was still fun and less weird/creepy than I thought it would be, since I'd never actually seen other people all suited up before. <.<; I think having someone I knew there (also suited part-time) made it a lot easier, too.

I'm way too easily embarrassed/shy to even think about doing that kind of stuff, myself (I don't know how you guys do it with everyone else staring. o_o;;), but I can appreciate all the hard work that went into them for sure. Especially seeing all the work involved (e.g. http://matrices.net/fursuiting.asp)!

I've never been to a furry event, just watched them on youtube, and I'm with you about the embarrassed part.. BUT, if your in a suit, I think it would be totally different.. and a lot of fun.. I never thought I'd get my head shaved in front of a crowd, but guess what I'm doing tomorrow.. it's for charity and it will grow back.. XD

Sparks. I kind of went out in a blaze of glory when my then-(asshole)-boyfriend decided to ruin my relations with virtually everyone.

Yeah, I would have been 11 and JUST getting internet at the time... probably back on MobiusMUCK or something. XD
