your mattress may double in mass, from products left by bodily fluids, the corpses of dust mites and the feces left by those dust mites.

Carpets have a similar issue.

haha, we learned this in bio 10.our teacher told us that dried semen is their favorite food. if you leave your bed unmade or uncovered, the mites will dry out and die more likely.

lol me too. got a new one in April. also built a nice elevated bed frame which helps keep it far from the floor. though the most annoying pest i keep finding, mostly around the bathroom, are silverfish.

I'm so happy I've only seen one of those so far in my house. D: I hear they like to eat paper, so they'll end up destroying books. Bleh. Pesky little buggers.
