Forums went down and now we have a new host?

Host is the same.

We've been putting off upgrading the board for a while, and it was no longer compatible with the latest server software. There were some plugins preventing a straight automatic update, so it had to be installed from scratch. We'll reinstall plugins as needed.

So it's to be assumed that the forums have updated? If so, then all should return in due time.
