So, this board moves as slow as molasses...

As this is basically the only board I lurk/post on, my intention with this topic is to (hopefully) liven it up a bit, and (maybe) get those creative juices flowing.

The idea is simple, and will operate in a similar fashion to the "what are you listening to" thread. The primary difference being instead of simply posting you current musical selections, you are encouraged to write a short blurb/review as to why you enjoy that particular album: what parts of it you like or dislike, favourite songs, least favourite songs, why you would recommend it to others, or even if you would recommend it to others. The album does not have to be recent, your review does not have to be long, and you can also choose to discuss albums that are already posted in lieu of posting your own.

For Example:

My Album of the week is currently ฿LΛNK ฿ΛNSHΣΣ's first self titled album numbered '0'

For those interested by psychedelic electronic arrangements with notes of trap and ambient, heavily laced with windows 95 and old Macintosh samples, and wrapped in a chillwave/vaporwave aesthetic. You may want to check this album out.

฿LΛNK ฿ΛNSHΣΣ's debut album features a variety of tracks showcasing a mixture of different musical disciplines that work towards a surprisingly well developed and unique sound. The album's tempo and mood varies from track to track; from the lively steel drums and sweeping synths of "Wavestep", to the punchy kicks and distorted guitar samples in "Ammonia Clouds". This imbues the album with a surprising amount of colour despite being labeled under the "vaporwave" genre; which is often criticized for presenting the listener with little more than bland distorted elevator music. ฿LΛNK ฿ΛNSHΣΣ breaks the mold of these conventions, and offers a surprisingly unique listen.

Recommended: Yes (if you're into chill alternative electronic acts, you could do a whole lot worse)

I'd also like to point out that this album, as well as it's successor are available for free download for those interested.

Selena Gomez and The Scene - Love You Like A Love Song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CowIXp7qdfc

Yaya, It's Selena Gomez. Music is probably frilly and lacy.,,well it kinda is...but! it's actually good.
Most of the songs got the sound to get you swaying or bumpin'. It's a swell time. This album is a smile on a disc.

My Album for this week is Scars on Broadway's self titled album. Ex showed me this band and I've kinda grown a liking for Daron Malakian's voice because of it.

If you like/liked System of a Down, give these guys a go (Mostly because two members from SOAD are in here.)
The most listened to track on here for me is 'Universe'
