Looking for some fun ways to relieve anger and stress. If it's a fun activity I can do with others then that's cool, too. I've got 6 months off school, and I'm bored and angry.
Open to suggestions.
Find any hobby you can get intense at. For me biking with great speed relieves a LOT, strumming hard a song with my guitar requires a lot of focus and emotion, writing a story abstracted from hard times, a friend who doesn't mind listening to some outbursts is a real treat too while on a walk somewhere random (online doesn't cut it often.)
Sasha~
im most often bored and angry, lol. but what i do makes it worse. i suggest not laying in bed feeling sorry for yourself, but easier said than done. being around other furs and having friends to talk with is best, or just there company. find things that dont cost a lot of money to do, i find i am very bad at this too. ok, so this wasnt helpful at all. but if you do the opposite of everything i do, then you should be just fine. a liitle self depreciating humor goes a long way too.
I should really learn how to bike, and then I should do that a lot, haha.
Take up LARPing. Nothing vents anger and stress better than beating the snot out of someone with a padded weapon. You get to kill all sorts of nasty things, like goblins and orcs and raiders. It's just an all around, feel good activity. Look up the local group, and see if you can drop in on a practice.
Muay Thai?
...
Muay Thai!
I used to larp on the island. MC is full of dickbags, and FR is just... rules the game. It wad super fun while jt wasnt political, but the gms ruined it for me haha. Thank yiu fir the suggestion, though. I would recommend larping to others who are stressed!
I might take up muay thai or simething like it again. I used to be a martial artist. It was super fun!
My best suggestions for relieving anger and stress:
1- Play Freespace or a racing game hardcore
2- blast angry/badass music. (AC/DC and slipknot works)
3- jogging in the woods.
Personally I just draw/doodle or play video games.
But I'd suggest doing anything you find fun.
Alright. Ill take your suggestions to heart and work sometbing out!
It's unfortunate that you had an unpleasant experience. :(
Well, if you are ever up in the Port area and you have a desire to beat on things with swords, you can always look up my LARP group. We're post-hoc, and more worried about having fun and killing things than politics.
Best of luck!
Brazilian jiu jitsu / sex (best combo ) good for stress and good for your body ^w^
Writing out your frustration and keep it on your hard drive is an option as well. You can look at it a few months or even a year later with good humor.
What also cuts it besides going on a bike ride is taking a walk in the wood or a park as well as go for a swim in a lake or even the ocean.
I ride my bike or drive my rc truck (or boat)
but I have also known to fuck around on video game on my pc with every cheat code active
I might become a vegetarian, but vegan is pushing it :P

Just a heads up if you do decide to go vegan/vegetarian; you will feel weak for a few days and your body will go into cleanse over-drive mode... case and point: I stayed at a friends house a while back for a few nights and naturally all their dishes were vegan (even pizza from scratch!) ... it was delicious going down but ya.. felt cleansing effects for a few days

Yup, that's very true, but just FYI after those few days you actually feel fantastic! (I actually remember the world looking brighter in an incredibly literal way :D)

I agree, though you don't need to go veggie to experience it. I got a similar feeling with just healthy eating. It was actually kind of euphoric.
I usually keep myself on the up and up by doing something physically demanding, anything really, as long as I break out in a sweat for an hour. I feel so much better when I done plus there is the added benefit of the feeling that I accomplished something hard. :)
A prime topic I must say. First and foremost I stop myself from ever having stress by telling it to stay away. I let everything flow through me like water, I forgive and forget, and I get through life living day to day instead of worrying about the past or the future. The biggest stress and anger reliever for me is listening to music and editing photography, as well as, surprisingly, watching other people have a good time. Twitch.tv is a very good place for this. Find a game you like and find someone who is good at speedrunning it. Watching speedruns is both relaxing and fun. It gets the heart going.
Surprised nobody said jerk it yet. but all kidding aside, I usually go on hikes.
Try Juggling
It's hard to stress/think about other things when you're juggling.
Took me about an hour to go from nothing, to being able to juggle 3 items.
Listen to Celtic music. <3
