: Any other United States ex-pats?
: Miles November 11, 2014, 11:23:12 -07:00
Just wondering if any other furs have moved from the United States to Canada and are now living here as a citizen or permanent resident. If so, how did you do it and how long did it take? I'm going through the process myself right now, but I've run into a few bumps and questions. Does anyone know where I could go for advice regarding immigration applications? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I moved from Washington State in 2010 with my mother when she married a Dutch-National here in BC. It took us a whole year to be fully processed. I was told it has changed since so I couldn't tell yah any tips.

It seems to be the case for most people. No worries, I appreciate the replies anyway. Would still love to hear from anyone who did the whole process themselves.

I'm currently filling out the paper work for Canadian permanent resident, how ever I'm Australian, and I'm already in Canada under a working holiday visa.

From what I've gathered the costs are at least CAD$1,000.
