So can any fur go to this event?
Course, Immerse yourself in the outdoors and us - there are many new souls who visit and intermingle, it is a wonderful experience if it is your first time. If you feel a little uneasy, get to know someone who will come along with and you'll do fine.

Huh, alrighty.
Those damn otters Loial and Selkit will be there. Totally. All crafty and sneaksy and pesky... also, Gizmo, if you'd like, I'm volunteering to provide a keg of beer this year. I've gotten confident enough in my brewing abilities that I could make you a nice kolsch ale or a good lager, and I have empty, clean 20L kegs available to me.

Sweet! Beer is always a welcome thing at any camp!! Now, how to keep it cold ... ?

Loial and I have ideas on this one. Worst to worst, we do have a car, and could just bring a good deal of ice along in insulated storage. Won't keep it 24/7 cold, but for an evening session, it should be manageable. HOWEVER, because I will be keg-conditioning, not keg-priming, once that keg is tapped, it'll be flat within a few hours of being first tapped. May be almost more worthwhile for me to just crate some beer and bottle it up. I'm thinking from the standpoint of reducing the load on you having to get a keg or two for your public beer supply, Giz-roo. $30 or so covers supplies for a 20L batch, if I brew it (And you get whatever style/ABV%/hops you want), as opposed to the $80+ cost of a 20L brewery keg.
And double-caveat: if I'm bottling it, I'll need bottles. This generally is not a problem, considering the amount of Erdinger Alkoholfrei that Loial and I drink, but that means it'll be in 500ml half liter bottles, if I do bottle it instead of kegging it.
Update:
I am now brewing two beers for CampFur 2015, gratis. There will be about 20 liters of each. A German kolsch ale that should settle in at around 4.5% ABV, relatively crisp and dry, made with Saaz and Hallertau noble hops, and the campfire piece de resistance, a S'more stout. Yes, an honest to goodness S'more milkstout, infused with fresh vanilla bean, cocoa nibs, and with Graham crackers in the mash. I have no idea why. But it's happening!
Hey All
YAY can't wait and otdur that smores beer sounds yummy and that is saying something as I do not like beer usually. Gizmo I will be returning for this up to hope after moving because it is just that darn fun :) :birdy:
Hello all I am just a stray wuff, I have asked for this time off from the 24 to the 29th, my only problem is my gal will be in Seattle so im wondering if anyone heading up early would like to pick me up in agassiz on the 24th, it would be wonderfully appreciated! <3
I must say - I am VERY impressed with the number of people who have registered ... and paid their memberships!
The money paid in so far will help to pay for the much needed supplies and rentals needed to make this the most epic CF EVER!
I am so looking forward to seeing all of you at camp!
Giz ...
:birdy: CampFur's SurviFur is comin' soon!! :birdy: :birdy: CampFur is comin' soon!! :birdy: :birdy: CampFur is comin' soon!! :birdy:
(first dreaded 90's Marquee I've used? hehe.)We're setting up things two-even three weeks in advance to make this the ultimate CampFur experience! There'll be tribes, many hand-crafted events that span from tribal flag painting for the artsy crowd to challenges of teamwork and feats of endurance, that anyone may do!
And, a luxury hot tub with music!
Stay tuned and be sure to be paid up, and ensuring tent space and rides are found (don't get left out! see if others will share!) and we hope everyone will have the best campfur experience yet!
~Sasha "Probst" Aleyev. :P
Honestly really excited for this! I paid up long ago and got the time off conveniently! I haven't camped in a bit and always wanted to be in nature for a few days and have some fun! When would we be getting an exact address for the campground?

Glad you can get the time off and make it! This weekend Gizmo will be towing the main trailer up to the final location we are choosing for CampFur, and if it is the right spot he will know the exact coordinates.
If you wish to know the general area, we've usually camped around these parts, anywhere in the general few kilometres of crown land (Ironically Google has named it "The Wolf Den"):

Gizmo can tell you more shortly.

Yes ... however, I do caution you that there will a large number of furries running around the area so discretion and safety are paramount.
Just a reminder: registration ends on the 22nd. To attend, you MUST be registered.
I was thinking of it but I just suddenly realized I cannot. I have a really tight schedule with some Leadership training, that and it's more expensive than last year. I'm trying to save my money best as I can... >.>

Just to be clear: If you pre-registered as 'Attending', 'Sponsor' or 'Patron', the rates are the same as previous years. If you missed pre-registration, the 'Attending' membership is $5 more than previous years. I have worked VERY hard to keep the membership fees as reasonable and obtainable to the masses. This is a VERY important point to me as I want to make CampFur available to everyone. The registration program I use allows for you to make 'payments' towards whatever membership you choose.
My expenses (so far) this year have increased by at least $250 - $300 & I have yet to purchase all the supplies needed - yet essentially, the membership fees have not increased.
It's unfortunate that you cannot make "Survi-Fur" this year as we have added many new events and some great new food ideas.
Hopefully, you can make it next year!!

Hey. I am expecting to be leaving Vanc for CF in the early afternoon. As you should be aware furries screw up everything so I realistically expect to arrive on site a little after 6 so I should be able to pick you up.
Remember to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
While the forecast is for a gloriously hot 38C, my landlord was up north of Hope last weekend and he tells me that it was mid-40s in the afternoon sun.
Also, Gizmo ... how is the skeeter situation up thar? Do we need barrels of illegal-concentration DEET?

We have been camping in this area for about 3 weeks now with very few little critters to worry about. Too hot for mosquitoes?
I'm sorry to disappoint you guys with me not showing up this year. Last year was great! I hope you all enjoy this one.
Next year I will not be so busy, bleh, and no more of that training stuff. I just wanted to give it another go before things start to get really busy. I'll be busy sometime in July of next year so I'll be able to make the next one in June.
Have a great time everyone <3
