Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I think it's an excellent excuse to examine our lives and what we have to be grateful for.
I'm thankful for the road that I've taken, and the people I've met along the way.
What about all of you?
I'm thankful for the chance to live in this wonderful country, and hoping I will get to for the rest of my life. I'm grateful for the people in my life who care about me, most especially my sweet tiger. <3
ok.... so maybe it is a bit too soon for me... but if anything i am thankful for every ounce of precious time i got to spend with my father. it was never enough but it mattered so much. i missed him a lot this weekend because turkey dinners with my grandmother and uncle and father were a tradition that we held three times a year. (Thanksgiving Christmas and Easter). I do not have many photos of him because i just thought id have the next fifteen years to make more. it has made the photos i do have of both my father and grandmother, into precious relics.
ok... so i just went really deep with that one.... but in all honesty.. that is 100% on my mind ... as what i am thankful for.
you all should go tell your parents you love em, even if they are flawed and your connections are complicated. hell even if its hard to say that, just make some memories. Thanksgiving is about looking back and being grateful for what you have and the times you have been lucky enough to share with others. As at the moment my family is a bit long distance, i was alone this year. Thus i vetoed a couple of my close friends to take an hour and go get some turkey at the Rivers Reach Pub in New Westminster. it was a simple but very much appreciated little moment. One i am also very thankful for.
