Pretty awesome video, a man who clearly has some experience handling wild animals in South Africa hangs out with some lions...at the end it looks like he picks up a hyena.

thats so cool!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D
That's quite a surprise. They could not have been wild lions though. That would almost be impossible.
Hugging Hyena's? That's what I do when Lope is around! XD

* Durrs? * Someone mentioned me?
I usually don't get as squirmy when I am hugged. Makes me wonder if those animals were raised by humans, normally they aren't as friendly towards them hairless monkeys.
The lions obvioulsly see him as one of their pride otherwise they wouldn't be so friendly towards him. I think they're either wild lions that have been tamed somewhat or lions that live in a zoo or something. I would like to know the backstory behinf this vid.
I know this is an old topic. But ohmygod. This is so great.
I want to pick up a hyena. ;u; If only I had the experience to do so.
I'd love to know the story behind this.
If they are wild, i doubt the camera man would get anywhere close without a super zoom lense. Heh.
But that guys definitely has no fear, getting tumbled over by males and practically scrapped over by the females XD
Since you see him around a fenced area, perhaps an open zoo or shelter or sorts? Maybe they are just in close proximity to the people. Whoooo knoooows.
(Thanks Brittany for reviving this! Totaly an awesome watch regardless.)
OH! I've seen the dude! He did 'Growing Up: Hyena' on animal planet.
