Hello ^^
My name is Vexel. Some people call me Vex. I'm a 22-year old student at BCIT and I like furry things! I'm kind of new so I'm trying really hard to just put myself out there and make new friends while trying not to be awkward. Music is my hobby and passion :> I'm hoping to meet people who enjoy it as much as I do. I play the piano and like to sing, and I'm not limited to a couple of genres either so hit me up no matter what you like ^^.
I also play video games and am on Steam a lot! More things I like include puzzles, language, and having deep conversations with people. I really hope I come off as pretty chill :p Sorry if I'm awkward or accidentally offensive, I'm really bad at reading/picking up social queues n_n

Say, you say you like to play the piano and sing, ah? There is a certain dragon around here who goes by the name Esshtrait. He does the same thing. I can see you two becoming good friends hahaha
Deep conversation is awesome. I always tend to go down the philosophical route and people have no idea what I'm talking about. It's too bad some people are just so oblivious inside their own heads you know what I mean? xD *shrug* or it's just me.
I applaud you for wanting to take the steps to just put yourself out there and meet new people. I wish I was as courageous as you from the beginning, took me some time to open up and come out there to events and such but I made some pretty awesome friends, and so will you.
If you ever want to know what's going as far as events go just check out the Upcoming Calander which I am sure you already know is on the home page! Great opportunity right there.
So with that being said, have fun out there/here, but be wary! Trrrust me. Not everyone you meet is going to be as nice and soft as they might portray. Just a Samurai's truth, but you can trust the Samurai. :thumbs:
Thanks for the head's up Samurai ^^ It certainly took me a very long time for me to actually feel comfortable enough to -try- and put myself out there, but I feel like the time is now that I really need it to be happy. I'm huge in music too and tons of furries in our group are quite music passionate surprisingly so you'll probably fit right in. :)

Hey, not a problem at all. I enjoy helping out other people, especially those who are new. I also like to see them walk the "Beginner's Path" and knowing things will start to unfold for them. I can't tell you what it's like until you've ventured more. It's not even been a full year for my own and yet this is only just the beginning! Great friends will be had, as will the memories. Your journey will begin soon... and in time, you will remember it... from the moment it first started. I know I did. I am aware that I may sound like some crazy enthusiastic person but I just know the same thing will happen to you! It's the furries that you meet that will make you want to come out more! A year ago I never thought I'd see myself purposely coming out to see people, but here I am. Who would have guessed? And I have all my newly found fur friends to thank for that... AHEM! Now, anyways, before I get

You know, there's a place in New Westminister where everyone meets up for Sushi at a place called Okonomi Sushi on Tuesdays. Although they say it starts at 7PM I would recommend coming around 6:30PM so you can get a seat because most days they're all taken over but you can still get a seat outside of the small room, but if you feel like taking a risk for it then go right ahead, it's all up to you! Most of the time I just stand around until someone leaves momentarily and I take the seat, with their permission of course. Usually after Sushi everyone goes out and walks towards the Pier, just follow along with the small group. Sometimes we go to get bubble tea first. The location of the Sushi place is right on a corner, Columbia Station is pretty much right beside it. You can't miss it at all!

I actually have a really wide vocal range from D2 to A5. I've had to sing low bass for a choir before which I did but hated x_x. I prefer singing tenor and alto parts all the way! But yeah fuzzies seem to really love music so im looking forward to it^^

Haha golly I hope my journey takes me where I want to go. I'm not really sure how I feel about just dropping in on random sushi meets and stuff without knowing anybody D: that's like awkward central for me u_u I usually prefer smaller 1 on 1s and stuff but I suppose it's worth a shot. I gotta start somewhere. I really hope I end up meeting the same kind of awesome people you seem to have met^^ I'm trying to be optimistic and not worry so much about blarghing.

Heh thank you mister Tigerface ^^. I'm currently enrolled in the CST program there, I actually didn't know there were other BCIT furs D: I always assumed there'd be like one or two that I'd never get to meet. Maybe that'll change!
Theres a couple BCIT furs and some grads too. I'm an alumni now - graduated from CST is 2004 - but I head past the school on my commute some days.
What are you taking at BCIT? maybe you can help me with my engineering homework : u:
i'm taking Computer Systems although I'm not terribly good at it u_u
