I was at wal-mart today and was buying foam for my fursuit head and someone beside me was doing about the same thing, maybe I'm just bananas but I had a gut feeling it might be a furry...
If no one says anything then I will start taking meds. X3
If you don't ask you'll never find out! But alas, I've seen many furs around Lougheed (if that is the one you are speaking of) and including people who look it. Rainrat has or has in the past nearby held fursuit making nights. It is entirely possible.
Yeah I should've asked, but imagine if I was wrong, asking the woman "Are you a furry?" getting slapped is the second to last thing I wanted to do today. XD
But I can kinda describe her humansona (pun, we're all animals, right?) if that helps! X3
Yes it was LOUGHEED YOU WIN!!!!
Wasn't me and I can't think of who it might have been.
Hmmm....wish I had said something. The search continues.
Well, A) im not a woman, and B) i don't have the cash foir a fursuit.. let alone.. NO ONE HAS GOOD FAUX FUR TIGER FABRIC AARRGHHH. (im a stickler for quality)
Ever been to Fabricana by the casino?
never heard of it. I've checked fabric land, walmart, michals a few other places the names of which i cannot remember...
ON a slightly separate note i saw a kickass warewolf costume at Value Village yesterday. one of the factory ones. goes for 90 bucks. its got digigrade legs and all, really cool. if you had brown fursuit paws and a head you could use it totally. just a thought in case you wanted something. i considered buying onue and dissembling it, then cutting my new tiger fabric to the same shape. so like, reverse engineering it. ide have to get a head professionally done though, im to noob for that.
Fabricana might be worth checking out, it's got a whole lot to pick from for fabric and fur.
I Saw that too! I was really impressed! The legs caught my eye immediately, I even posted on my Facebook about it! It's quite wicked good. ;3
And I actually am trying to make my fursuit head now!
I was in the Burquitlam VV and saw the same too! I was going to get a labcoat for Howlween and its mad scientist theme, but came up with a better idea.
As far as fur goes.. a lot of them that I see are repeating kinda patterns that do not look too natural in terms of the body. I haven't yet, but using a trimmer and sewing on black fur to make seemless anthro-anatomically (:P) stripes correct might look really nice, besides plain air brushing.

Tell me...how did the pros become pros? They made an attempt at it and then another and so on and sew on.
Google mask making, fur suit making etc and get going.
Good luck
That's what I'm doing for my Rocket Raccoon fursuit head. X3
i dont like it when fur-suit head look more like mascots than.. yea. i thought about making a plastic mask to go over my face(plaster mold, putty duplicate, pour plastic sauce over-top and cool), then mounting it onto a Balaclava for positioning (making a skull), then building with foam over that to mimic tissue structure. the actual fur would be really tough though, i'd have to epoxy it on rather than sew it probability.
Well Mascots are cheap, I'd kinda like the normal fursuit appearance. Using a mold though would be really interesting to see!
My thought with the mold is that i can make a separate 'jaw bone' so i can open my shits mouth with mine. if its soft enough i could put in some wires for tension to if i contort my face enough i can force it to make limited facial expressions.
You oughta watch Face Off on the SyFy or Science channel, they do alot of that.
I love that show!
But alas, i have only basic cable.
Ah. Well it's great for learning how to do stuff like that. I liked their fur technique, I'm going to be using it to make my leg fur for my Rocket Raccoon fursuit~
