Originally, I was tempted to necro my old thread about this, but since it's somewhat different I swayed against it.
Is there anyone (preferably within the Saanich area) that wants to come on out with myself some time to practice either Poi, or Glowstringing? I need to practice myself, but practice alone isn't really that fun, engaging, or helpful. I could bring small speakers to hook up to iPod's... There's plenty of parks that we could go to at night, or even evening so it's not too late. Even if you don't glowstring, you could come on down to see and, maybe, start to learn the art.
Like I said above, I want to practice and I'm sure that, if given the chance to practice with someone who knows a different variety of moves than you do, it would be a more fun session than simply practicing on your own.
TL;DR, Does anyone want to practice glowstringing or poi with me? ^_^;
I've never heard of this before... it looks cool to watch, I don't think I'd be coordinated enough to even try. <-- Wreck it Ralph
hunn I heard about glowstring some time ago, with furries btw, but I never see anyone actually doing it, must be very nice, if you gonna practice some day when I be there you allow me to take some pictures? I think the light effect must be a quite amazing if I can get then on photos. :-3

Mm while it's not poi I do rave hoop, which would go well with that. I used to do it all summer long and people would always come out and watch me... Need to get back into it. Haven't done it for a year now. Sadly, I live in Nanaimo so X.x
If you're ever down here lemme know, I wouldn't mind going out and practicing.

I looked up glowstringing and poi on YouTube and it looks pretty cool.
I have some flag poi but I live in Surrey. >.< I havn't used em in like... two years.
