Would I put it in Hobby Gaming or would I post it in the Art section?
Depends on what angle you are going for; do you want it to be looked at for the artistic side, or are you looking for others who know the game?
My intention would be to show my artistic talent of painting minis, but its from hobby gaming so that is what I am unsure where to put it.
It could go either way; put it in the category that has the audience that you are aiming toward.
I have painted a few of these things solely for the artistic value. I have never even seen a game of 40k or the original. And may I just say, homyfriggingomgholycrap that's good very very nice detail work. How long have you been painting them for?
