I spent my summers in Port Hardy growing up, and to be honest most young people just drink. But there are some things to do if you're in to non-drinking fun. Near Hardy is Port McNeil, where you can take the ferry to Alert Bay, see some cool old things. You can also check out Cape Scott Park which I think you can boat or drive to.

i used to live up that way, went to school in port mc.neil, before dropping out.

i remember how there were so many retail stores in port hardy, that it was estimated that if everyone went shopping all at same time, there would be a large total of 3 people per store.
