Hey there, all;
So, it's been forever since I've been online at all. We recently just had a cub (something I never thought I'd do, but I met the right creature), and so we've been pretty far-removed from the internet. For those of you I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, I'm Sephren or Lady Serpent, and we're currently living way up in Tumbler Ridge, but we're often in the Okanagan where I grew up, or out on the coast visiting awesome people and excellent places.
Anyways, I've been practicing a lot of different art styles, and I've never really been very good at 'cute' or chibi art, so I thought I'd give it a shot. There are a lot of people here I'm sure I haven't met yet, so I'd love to meet you, and get some art practice at the same time!
Here are the rules:
1. Post a description and/or reference picture of yourself. (Make sure you list your species!)
2. Introduce yourself! I'd love to meet some new faces and say hello to all the old friends that I havn't seen in forever.
Let's see if we can get the ball rolling. :)

Harrow! I'm hunny, nice to meet yah! :3 My fursona is a malamute and am engaged to a really sweet husky. ^_^ I'm super friendly despite being extremely shy and can be hyper a lot (if given sugar! X3) oh and I love meeting new people and hanging out :3 ~ teehee =^0^=
yellow, big blue rabbit here.
no have any real ref. yet, still need to sit down with someone to get it all worked out, other than being a classy two tone blue tall skinny kind of lagomorpha.
you have a camping thing planned for this year?
Hey there, Ceowolf;
Nice to meet you, too. I saw some of your work -- wow!
So, for what reason did you take up juggling? I know I've thought about it and tried it a few times, but I got sidelined by other projects. (Like learning to stand on my head.) :)
I'm not especially good at chibis (I've never really tried them before now!), and they tend to end up looking creepy more than cute for now, but I'm working on it. My usual style is much more beast-like. :) Anyways, here's the first attempt at a Sephren. I think it looks creepy as usual, but in a very different way. :) I'm supposed to be kind of bug/snake/demonish, so it works out.

And here's a Ceowolf: (http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/Lady_Serpent/Wolfguy.jpg) (http://s11.photobucket.com/user/Lady_Serpent/media/Wolfguy.jpg.html)
I think the eyes are somewhat off, but I'll work on it. :) I attempted thicker lines and a simpler style, but I'm not sure I like it, yet. I'll keep going and work on seeing if I can make them better.
Hunny -- hello! I was wondering.. what is a BBW? Your reference mentions it and I certainly have no idea. :) I'm getting old, or something.
Professor! Hello again, my friend. We actually have been holding off for now until we see how our new business pans out for the summer -- see how busy we end up with regards to FurBQ type stuff. We may not have time this year. We're going out to TJ's surf event for sure (and some crustacean-catching shenanigans that perhaps you could join us for?) but we may have another campout out in the Okanagan as well -- either way, we'll see you sometime this summer.
Thanks for the replies. :)
congratulations for having a mate and found a family. Yet recently I had a relative telling how challenging it can be to start life with all the trials and tribulations. Yet this is a different topic.
With your permission, I may decide to send you by email or PM a description of my character.
EDIT: I appreciated your generous gesture to draw our characters as you have a family to look after.
Wereman: Yea, you know, I never thought I'd have kids. I had sworn it off ages ago and NEVER imagined I'd be here. (And I'm very happy to be here.) I still don't believe I had one sometimes; my partner is not someone I could have imagined before we met.
Absolutely -- feel free to send me a description. I actually draw in the few moments I have free time when we're not taking care of things around the house, or working on developing our company. (Either that, or play a half-hour of some game or other.) I really don't mind at all -- it's relaxing for me to draw, and fun to try new styles out.
Thanks for the kind words. :)

I'm a wolf *aWhoo's* Relax's and parties in the woods and stalks in the city. My main source of food is meat. I love to try new meats as bugs, organs, and exotic animals. Wolf exists in mutliple dimensions, someplaces are outer space, prehistoric times, and on the covers of '80s metal albums. Fur is black and often shaggy, golden eyes, and completely feral in look.
Basic reference picture: http://s20.postimg.org/4ybnvwowt/Close_Enough.png (http://s20.postimg.org/4ybnvwowt/Close_Enough.png)
It'd be cool if you could draw as inflation, hard vore, or plushified.
I'd like to meet up with you again. Maybe I can take a bus your way and we can go out and wander the hills again. I've got some plans for more costumes. Did you see the black wolf jumper suit I made? I hope you raise your little minion well. You still working in watercolors or spray paint recently? I'd love the progresses you've made.

I took up juggling one summer when i was like 8 or 9 and learnt the basics, it wasnt until later that i was randomly juggling and a friend expressed interest so i taught her how. From there we me some other jugglers in Vancouver randomly and now im apart of a circus group that does cabarets and other outings (during the summer when its warm :P) if you are ever curious of learning we do juggling jams at our studio over on ontario st by science world and people who are always willing to teach whatever you want to learn. we have hoopers, contact juggling, ball juggling, club juggling, poi, diabolo, people that do handstands and that kinda stuff, probably more i cant think of atm, and theres a corner full of props for everyone to use.

I quite enjoy how the feet turned out ^^ and your style while it has that creapyness to it i quite like it, dont think ive seen anything like it around :P
Lady Serpent it's so nice to meet you.
Your advice was quite nice, I must say.
I'd request your assistance of virtue
in a manner you cannot dissuade.
You popped in my thread and you said some nice things
about textures and clothing and tight nostril rings
now I see your chi-bi post and wish to make the most
of your most, generous, offering.
I don't have a ref sheet nor a color guide
and I do hope you don't find my ignorance snide
but could you do me up as you see in your mind?
I'd really like that. It would be oh so kind.
Just go with the theme of Irish and Lion
with tinges of green and gold; red, brown and cyan.
I'm sure you'll get it right if you keep tryin....
I'll stop rhyming now, I'm sure you're all sighin....
Here's a Hunny -- I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Hard not to make 'body shapes' as you would with regular pictures. I think the eyes are still a bit intense; I'm going to try and make the irises a bit larger for the next one so there's not so much white space going on. Here we go:
(http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/Lady_Serpent/2013AprilChibiHunny.jpg) (http://s11.photobucket.com/user/Lady_Serpent/media/2013AprilChibiHunny.jpg.html)
Kohl -- Good to see you again, mate. The picture sounds fun -- I'll see what I can do.
Ceo: That actually sounds like quite a lot of fun -- we might have to stop in when we're out that way this summer. At very least it'd be a good place to meet fun people. :)
IrishLion: *Purrs* That is quite fantastic. I'll certainly attempt to do you justice. Chibi isn't my regular style, but I do love all things irish and leonian so if I get some time in the future, I'll see if I can render you an actual picture. It's the least I could do for such a fun set of rhymes. :D
Cheers;

Omg thank you so much!! It looks absolutely amazing!! ^0^ *squee's and dances, wiggling*
Uhm, my fiance Felix was wondering if he could get a sketch as well for his fursona o; only problem is he doesn't have a hard copy of his fursona (he technically does but the copy is with the person who drew it and hasn't had time to give it to him) but he says it's okay for you to draw it how you like ^_____^
His fursona is a deep sky blue and white husky (color reference in case: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celeste_(colour)#Deep_sky_blue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celeste_(colour)#Deep_sky_blue) ) with silver paws and a scar that runs down his right eye from above his eyebrow to just on his cheek below his eyelid and his eyes are one red and one blue =3
Pwease and fank you ~^0^~

Mew :3 I'm Fiskette. I'm a snow leopard and I wuv sugar and tea. I like to sketch and I drew my ref pic. :-3 Nice to meetcha! :hug:
Wow...I'm liking what I'm seeing in terms of your style.
ref - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9434980/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9434980/)
I'm Tef. I usually frequent the sushi place on Tuesday with a bunch of furs. I'm a huge fan of bubble tea. See ya around.
Hunny: I'm glad it turned out to your liking. I'll see what I can do for your buddy. :)
Fiskette: Nice job on your reference! Looks like fun. I like tea, too, and thrive on sugar but I try not to get too much of it. :)
Tef: Omigosh -- this is definitely not my regular style! It's something new I'm trying and I'm really very shaky at it. I don't usually do anything resembling simple or cute so I'm really out of my league, here. But thank you; I'm attempting to get better at it. I think we might try and hit the sushi place when we're out that way this summer -- we'd love to meet more of the coastal locals.
Thanks!
-Sephren
Impressive work you have done. I am impressed and appreciate your generous involvement making art.
As sent you some information on my fursona, I was wondering whether you got the details and pictures.
Keep the good work!
I still want to see what you'll do for my wolf. I think you could make it pretty stellar.
Hello again!
We've been renovating our second house every single day for the past few weeks, so art time's been pretty limited.
I've decided to roll with whatever I'm feeling, instead of forcing myself into a strange style that's not my own. I had a few 'failed attempts' at drawing the blue bunny in a somewhat chibi style, and I wasn't enjoying the process. So, here's what came of just rolling with whatever came to mind. Had a lot of fun with this one, and definitely learning a few new photoshop techniques as I go.
(http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/Lady_Serpent/Bunnyfellow.jpg) (http://s11.photobucket.com/user/Lady_Serpent/media/Bunnyfellow.jpg.html)
More to come. Thanks!
Also, yes -- we WILL be hosting FurBQ! We're quite excited to get it rolling again; I'll be announcing our plans once we finalize them in the next few weeks.
Cheers;
-Sephren
Oh, also -- he's looking grumpy on purpose -- that was the expression that just came from doodling whatever was in my head. I know that's not an especially Whovianart expression!
-LS
Here's something for Kohl. I'm starting to get a handle on this photoshop thing, I think.
(http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/Lady_Serpent/2013June6Kohl.jpg) (http://s11.photobucket.com/user/Lady_Serpent/media/2013June6Kohl.jpg.html)
There are still elements I'm not satisfied with -- I'll try to work on them. The bones look a little fake to me.
I can't promise they'll all be this detailed! :)
Cheers;
-LS
Oh, oops! I just realized I did Kohl's before Wereman's. That'll be next, then! :)
Curious to see what you think of the ones that are up now. Has anybody seen them yet? It's the feedback that keeps me strong. :D Critique is more than welcome; I'm very new at photoshop, and only just recently back into art in general, so anything helps.
-LS
Haha I love it. The picture is awesome.
Feast de little critter. Dino? or Demon? don't care, tis meat.
:birdy:
I like the fur, the scruff angles. Such a floofy face too ^.^
The figure is pretty. The curves across the wolf.
You draw awesome figures that seem outworldly and pretty
There's alot of eye drawing things that keep me looking at it.
The under fluff around the head, back leg, the depth in the tail...
The whole thing has a old fable story book look to it.
The wolf of the wastelands coming to blow down the pigs house of sheet metal.
It looks great. Thank you very much for drawing it.
You should export as a .png file. It has no color loss as a .jpeg does.
Thanks for the deep feedback, I really appreciate it! We're in the middle of moving, so I'll get more out of it in a few days when I have a chance to sit and really think about the things you've said and give a proper response.
Very glad you liked the way it turned out. There were a few things I learned here that I think I could do much more effectively a second time over.
I'll do that with the .png; I didn't know about the quality loss. :) This one's a very traditional artist at heart; breaking into digital was almost taboo for me, but now that we're here we're having a lot of fun.
I do, very much, appreciate the feedback.
*Purrs gently*
the blue rabbit is very interesting looking, and i like that you got the right number of digits on the hands and feet :)
Is it luckier to have a keychain with five toes or four?
Hey Seph. I can't find much of your older art. I found the Lady Serpent one on FA. Isn't there another...can't...remember...'something' Darkness ???. I'd like to see your paintings again.
Did furry.ca shutdown? Not sure what happened with it.
I think rabbits only have fluff on there feet. No pads.
I have a Deviantart, but haven't posted anything new for a while. Here's the link: http://ladyserpent.deviantart.com/ (http://ladyserpent.deviantart.com/) . There's a bunch of older stuff on there.
Havn't been doing much art at all for the past two years or so as we've been so busy, but I'm doing more now that I have a bit more time. :) I hope to update my new (currently empty) FA page when I get some new stuff actually finished. My old FA had the password forgotten (many times) long ago and I can't get back into it for the life of me. Password reset doesn't work. Thanks for the interest; I do hope to post a few things I've been working on, sometime in the near future.
You know, I guess Furry.ca shut down. I havn't been around much of any internet for a while, and when I did try and go on a while back it seemed to be gone.
You're right about rabbit feet; they're just fluff as far as you can visibly see. :)
Here's one for Wereman:
(http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/Lady_Serpent/2013June25Wereman.png) (http://s11.photobucket.com/user/Lady_Serpent/media/2013June25Wereman.png.html)
I didn't put the marking on your shoulder, and I may redo it at some point if I feel so inspired as it was an experiment in a few elements and I'm not 100% satisfied, but such is the way of practice. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this rendition of your fox self. :)
-LS
I like the vibrancy in your colours
Something I haven't figured out yet. Always turns into a big mash of formless color when I try.
Going to close these up for now -- too busy! It's crazy how old these look after a few weeks of drawing. I'll finish the rest as soon as I can. :) Thanks, guys; it's really helped!
For IrishLion:
(http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a178/Lady_Serpent/Lionman.png) (http://s11.photobucket.com/user/Lady_Serpent/media/Lionman.png.html)
I need to be in the mood to write;
My words don't flow .. quite right.. when I'm not.
So, here you go! Thanks again for the poem. :)
Cheers;
-Sephren
