Occasionally I am inspired/comissioned to do artistic things like jewelry, clothing, costumes, sculptures, etc. If I deem it good enough, I post it on this blog.

If anybody needs anything made, let me know, I'll see if it's within my ability and work out a price. Also, feel free to ask for advice on making anything if you think I might have some insight.
Your stuff looks sooo nice o_o
Thanks, I haven't done much for a while, just getting out of a six month creative rut. I'll hopefully have something interesting to post before long.
Well, I may have caught the sculpting bug, but it doesn't mean I'm great at it.
I am really lousy at building armatures, they're never solid enough for the ridiculously ambitious pieces I try to do.
This was my second attempt at a maquette of one of my forms, but as it dried it cracked in a few places. Not just little cracks either.
I wish I could afford to make him out of Super Sculpey. I think it would be a little more forgiving since there isn't as much change in the weight when it's cured so the skeleton wouldn't flex as much. It would also allow me to take more time with the fine detail.
It might be possible to repair, I'll wait until I'm sure it's completely dry before attempting it. But just in case I have to destroy it so I can reuse the armature, here's some pictures of it as it is.
Sorry for the lousy lighting.

To be honest that looks really cool with the cracks. While sculpey is a lot more forgiving I find that it doesn't do as well as cray when it comes to sculpting detail as with clay you can scrape off the material while with the polymer clay you just push it out if the way and deform it.
I've never had any trouble doing fine detail work with sculpey. Maybe I need some better quality clay, this stuff sticks to my tools and doesn't smooth as well.
Yeah, he does look good with the cracks, but it would be nicer if he were in a pose that looked like it could have been carved out of stone. It doesn't sell as well with the big, unfurled wings. Especially if I use leather for the membrane.
I'd definitely like to patch him up so I can paint him. But we'll see, he's got a lot of expensive armature metal in him. If it's just a matter of building it up so I have to add less clay, then I'm happy to sacrifice this attempt and consider it practice.
Here's a new piece. It opens up to store notes and messages.

wow, that's pretty cool. kind of has a futuristic look to it!
Really cool piece I love that it's both art and a cool little stash can. I'm sure someone will snatch it up quick :P
Thanks, I'm going to make a few to have on hand, but I'm also going to make them special order so people can pick what gems go in them.
Wow. Your sculpture is beautiful, and wonderfully animated. The anatomy and posing is spot-on! I've got a soft-spot for demony-looking creatures like that one. :)
Your metalwork is absolutely spectacular; I think perhaps you sell yourself short although it's nice not to have too much confidence. Wonderful!
Do you take commissions or sell any of your pieces? They're really quite lovely.
Cheers;

Thank you. I really appreciate the compliments.
I do sell the jewelry. I've been meaning to get an etsy up and running, but I've suddenly found myself working almost full time the last couple weeks.
I can take commissions for jewelry, though I have limitations on the designs I am equipped to make at the moment. Working out some methods for lost-wax casting without a $3K furnace which I hope to have figured out by summer.
I would consider commissions on the sculptures once get the knack for figuring out what armatures can and cannot do.
If you've got something in mind I'd love to hear about it. I'll definitely put more effort into honing my sculpting if I know there is interest.
Just a sneak peek of my most recent scheme. Who wouldn't want a 1/6th scale action figure of their furry-form?

I need to play with texturing methods and facial expressions, but I will hopefully be able to open them up to commissions before long if anyone is interested.
There are countless 1/6th scale accessories available online so you could dress/arm them with whatever you want.
I may also start making clothing for them as well.
This is great!!
I started a tiny version of myself once. But it sort of went nowhere, since I don't really have sculpting skills.
Good luck on commissions for these!!
Glad you like it. I think the eyes still look a little derpy though, I'm working on a method of making them less of a pain to sculpt.
The advantage to these is that they save me the trouble of having to sculpt entire bodies and clothing. The next step is to texture and paint any parts of the bodies that might be exposed, make digitigrade feet then I can either slap gloved hands on them, or texture and paint the bare hands.
Also been looking into adding real hair for anyone with longer headfur, like my minotaur form has.
Sneak peek, husky MK2. Waaay better than the first try.

Hope to be opening up commissions for scuptures, soon . Will make a proper post in a few days with full details.
