Hi there o_o

I'm new to the area. Just moved up here from California, so I basically know nothing and no one. YAY!

By day I'm an animator for a small game company, by night/weekend I sit in my northern burnaby apartment and draw furries and stuff. I'm pretty shy so I haven't gotten out much, but now that I live on my own and far away from friends/family I'm hoping to change that. Whee~
Here's my FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/moomanibe/ (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/moomanibe/)

So, yus. Hai?

Welcome to the forums Moomanibe! You will find there are some regular events to just get out and enjoy yourself among company (and other furs most of all.)

Getting out there is a great way to pick up the city and how it works. Just travelling the Skytrain to somewhere new every so often gets you a good feel of the area.

Tigerface.

It definitely an experience! You'll get used to the area soon. I definitely suggest going to some of the monthly events like Bowling and such. Course there's Vancoufur which you already know about and Howloween in November ish : )

There's some movie nights and meets and whatnot too. ^_^

you forgot the one weekly event, SUSHI.  held every tuesday at 7 pm, at Okonomi Sushi, New Westminster.  25 ft downhill from the 4th st exit of the Columbia Skytrain Station.  meet up starts around 6.45 with orders being taken around 7.10.  wrap up is usually about 8.30.

just a social meeting over dinner with friends.  come meet, eat, and get happy.  everyone that comes in for the first time is always tense but like a good massage, is very relaxed when leaving.

Sounds crazy! I'm actually allergic to most seafood, although maybe they have stuff on the menu I can eat. One of these tuesdays maybe I'll check it out! (Not tomorrow though, I have some stuff I need to get done after work)

Raawr~ ^.=.^
Welcome to Vancouver, Moomanibe! (You can say goodbye to your precious sun, because you won't be seeing it again for months at a time.)

Also, pretty sure I'm going to have to actively avoid whatever events you go to, lest I enter fanboy mode for the first time. D:
I don't think anyone wants that. (I wouldn't.)

yellow yellow.

when going to okonomi sushi, they do have vegetarian stuff on menu, just be sure to tell them no seafood in it, and it should be fine.
