I need to get two main repairs done on my car.
The right side wiper no longer works. I suspect something's busted in the motor unit as it got jammed as a result of ice on the windshield and hasn't worked since.
The second thing I need fixed is (I suspect) the O2 sensor. When I give it more gas, the engine starts to sputter, but as soon as I ease off, it starts to run normally again. It already had a diagnosed problem with the O2 sensor, so I'm guessing this is what it is.
I can get parts through my work, that's not a problem. I just don't have the technical skill required to replace them.
depending on the location of the sensor, replacement should be quite easy.
locate the sensor, remove it, disconnect the wire (plug) attached, install new sensor, then attach plug to new sensor. go for test drive. easy. only problem would be that the sensor is located somewhere without easy access.
from shows i have seen on tv, this is a really easy operation.

Wiper motor could be fried or have been knocked loose. As for the O2 Sensor, it would depend on what bank it is located. Is it a V6 or a four cylinder? Also is it pre cat or post cat?

I'm decent with computer, but with cars... Not nearly so much.
I'm anticipating that the wiper motor needs to be replaced.
AFAIK, the O2 sensor is accessed from underneath the car, somewhere near the exhaust. It's a 97 Hyundai Accent, 4-banger.

There is usually two O2 sensors. One read the O2 levels before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter, and another one after the cat. Was it a check engine light and a trouble code that lead you to the faulty O2 sensor?

i was thinking that the connection from the wiper motor to the wiper arm may have become disconnected at the arm.
but this is more your department Ezo

Lol ya that's what I mean by it was knocked loose. Sorry, I'm not being too thorough when I speak. Trying to tone down on the mechanic jargon. If it was just disconnected, it would be a lot cheaper labour and parts wise
O2 sensors are a dime a dozen and easy to replace. The one that usually needs to be replaced is right on the exhaust manifold, just after where the four outlets converge into the main. It's typically easy to access and easy to replace.
Wipers I've never had to tackle before. It may be well worth it to find a Haynes manual for your car (available at most Canadian Tire/Lordco/NAPA outlets). Those things are super fucking useful if you ever plan on doing your own repairs/maintenance. If you live anywhere near Chilliwack, I may be able to give you a hand.
1.6L I4, O2 sensor will be sticking out of the exhaust manifold when you open the hood. As for right wiper arm, maybe tighten the nut.
