Like, adding a picture to your post?
Upload it somewhere and get the direct URL.
Go {img}paste-URL-here{/img} only use the square brackets.

Unfortunately posting an image is not like attaching a picture to an email. You must upload your image to a website that will host your image first. I.E. image shack (just do a google search for image host there are lots out there).
After you have a link to the image which should look like this www .imagehost.com/yourimage.jpeg then take that link and paste it between the IMG tags.
In the end it should look like this ***change the brackets () to square brackets []*** (img)www.imagehost.com/yourimage.jpeg(/img)
When you click post you should then see you image in the post.

***change the brackets () to square brackets []***
only use the square brackets.
I thought it would be helpful to know, there are of course [nobbc] (aka. no-bbcode) tags to prevent parsing.

[nobbc]
An image: [img]http://www.bcfurries.com/forum/bcfurries.jpg[/img]

[b]This is how you bold[/b]
[/nobbc]

(etc.)

imgur.com (http://imgur.com) is a little confusing at first, (you have to hit "Computer" button around the top right), select your image, and then "Start Upload" on the next prompt, but it should provide you the bbcode tags you can copy and paste automatically if you find that useful.

This should be on the final list:

I mention something such as imgur, because imageshack seems to require login to get direct link. . .and it is a reliable company behind it (limelight networks) instead of some other weird site. Includes one-time delete link too if you even want, if you feel you want to ever revoke your upload.

Tigerface.

Imgur is good. They allow animated GIFs... whereas Imageshack started disallowing them a while back unless you pay for membership.
