I feel silly asking this, but since I am new to the Vancouver furry community, I don't know what the doghouse is X-x I've seen people talk about it and I was just curious.
More or less a house of furries (mostly canine) located somewhere in surrey.
#1 - The first rule of the Doghouse is, you do not talk about the Doghouse.
#2 - The second rule of the Doghouse is, you DO NOT talk about the Doghouse
#3 - If someone says stop, goes limp, taps out, the yiff is over.
#4 - Two guys to a yiff. (Unenforced rule)
#5 - One yiff at a time. (Unenforced)
#6 - No shirts at shirts off o clock, no pants at pants off o clock.
#7 - Yiffs will go on as long as they have to.
#8 - If this is your first night at the Doghouse, you have to yiff.
The above is just a joke btw, it is not overly sexual over there, don't take it serious :p
Hmm, and what would you do to deviants who circumvent the rules? I have never yiffed at the Doghouse.

It's okay, so long as ((number of people) / 2) yiffs happen in a night it's fine. Other people took up the slack!
*yiffs Ember*
Tyler steps back. A short guy, RICKY, and a GOATEED MAN
take off shirts and shoes and step to the center.
JACK (V.O.)
This kid, Ricky -- supply clerk --
couldn't remember whether you ordered
pens with blue ink or black ink ...
The two furries circle, then begin YIFFING...
JACK (V.O.)
But Ricky was a god for ten minutes
last week when he yiffed an actuary
twice his size.
Harder, faster YIFFS between the two. SWEAT flies.
SHOUTS become DEAFENING. Ricky's getting the best of
Goateed Man, POUNDING him...
JACK (V.O.)
Sometimes all you could hear were
flat, hard packing sounds over the
yelling, or the wet choke when
someone caught their breath and
sprayed...
GOATEED MAN
(spittle-lipped)
Ssssstop... !
Heyyyyyyy I shaved my goatee! :o
haha what a coincidence, I shaved off mine this morning :p
*facepalm* I have a bad feeling about visiting the doghouse

I liked that shaggy doo look :-\

Try not to get a bad image of the House, Basically, it's a large 6 bedroom house that myself and Ruggz aquired. I rent out rooms to 5 other furs. It's the only one of it's kind left in BC and is mostly drama free due to my fur sceening process. It's not as bad here as everyone says, it's a very laidback and comfortable enviroment, with lot's of room for snuggling, lol. People stop in and hang out all the time but nothing gets too crazy usually. I run and maintain the place. Along with me and my mate Jessica Wolf, there's Lemony, Jack, Sairys, Orion, and Ruggz living here atm.
So don't get the wrong idea, I run a pretty tight ship :P
Cheers
~Tor~
@ Torwin I figured as much Torwin, I was just making fun of what Ember said :P Though you might have some competition on being the only furry house in BC soon ha ha ha, I and 4 other furs are looking to do the same thing as you did, though minus the actual buying of the house, we are simply going to rent. Though we actually have to find a place to live first.
Thanks for letting me know everyone XD I love that you used Fight Club, haha. Maybe someday I'll drop by if it's okay ;) But only after I get my fursuit XD Lol, thanks again guys.
Actually I know of one in Penticton. Never been there but it's all furry too.
THE DOGHOUSE DOES NOT EXIST
BE NOT FOOLED BY THIS INCESSENT BANTER
I AM NOT THERE RIGHT NOW
SITTIN ON MY BED.
NOT, I TELL YOU
I have now visited the Doghouse, and it was awesome! Thanks for hosting me this weekend guys!
: Torwin July 10, 2009, 04:44:48 -06:00bla bla bla lengthy paragraph above ending with the sentance: I run a pretty tight ship :P
I stayed there for a while myself when I was between homes, and I will say that it was the most pleasant visit I've ever had, dispite it initially being a group of strangers. I'm happy to have made some friends, grateful that I was allowed to stay in such a positive environment, and now my life in the lower mainland seems more exciting. I was ready to go back east, before I met this crowd.
As for the yiffing, I only walked into it once. :P
..... is there any reason to go to the doghouse if you dont wanna yiff? XD

So effin' true!
....booze is good.
I hadn't even heard of this Doghouse before. :o I guess being in downtown Vancouver and not in contact with furries will do that though. Sounds like a good idea though, especially with that fur drama screening process. :P

is this the furhouse in burnaby ?
there needs to be more host houses in surrey for events
No, the Furhouse in Surrey was abandoned due to a hater attack. The Doghouse is in the Whalley area of Surrey

You mean the Furhouse in Burnaby was abandoned, right?
my apologies, I was half asleep when I wrote that!, Yes, it was the Burnaby House that was abandoned, leaving the Surrey Doghouse one of the only furhouses left in the Lower Mainland
which is why there needs to be another fur house
Good luck to any who attempt it, it's not as simple as it sounds. It takes alot of commitment and responsibility to keep everything running smoothly and drama free, residents have to be screened carefully for temperament and financial responsibility. One slip and everything could come crashing down very quickly. There's a reason there aren't many left, most fall apart and fold within the first few months unfortunately. It only take one roomie to lose his/her job and come up short on rent, causing everyone else to pull up the slack and that is the road to disaster.
I hear ya Torwin! Thus is the reason that the furhouse that I am working on starting with some close friends of mine is not happening yet, one of us might not have a decent paying job come September so we have had to look for cheaper quarters just to accommodate everyone.
Its exhausting trying to organize 5 people who live in different parts of the lower mainland to get together to decide on a house. I have great respect for you on keeping the Dog House running so smoothly
I'm hoping the landlord gets sick of the people upstairs slamming doors, and wrecking stuff, at our place. When they move out, so long as people are available to fill the spaces, it'll be a Langley furhouse, I'm sure. I will say, it would be nice to have parking, they have three large trucks and a trailer...
re: hater attack, is there a story behind this? I actually attended a furmeet at that house, and wondered what happened...
