'NO NO NO', we got rid of the star wars program in the 80`s, no need to look into it again.

we really should focus on making the planet a better place, work on fixing the ozone layer depletion, cleaning the oceans of the plastics and polution that are killing the sea life, and reclaiming and nurturing the forests, and help the care bears make the people and creatures of the world feel better about themselves, and for everybody to get along.

Why do that when we can completely Remove and recycle all known Reasorces to make this flying death machine and live there, no need to save anything other space beings would have to save things from us.

I would be happy if our entire continent as a whole could at least commit to some solid form of space plan. You know, moon base, manned missions, etc. We seem to be getting somewhere for plain old exploring with rovers and satellite telescopes. I would love to actually see where we can get in terms of terraforming a planet that is close to our own, or perhaps finding other life out there.

Well, we Canadians do have the Canada Arm, so I can say we are contributing space-related hardware in that respect.  :P

forgot about that RESECT TO THE MAX but imagine that on the Death star it would be unstoppable if it was planted in the exhaust vent nothing would get passed it.

If we had another cold war space race we would be on mars within the year.
