So this weekend I had a thanksgiving dinner with a few friends, and at one point my friend Matt quoted a 2 rant (http://www.ranting-gryphon.com/ (http://www.ranting-gryphon.com/)). He got hooked when I exposed him to them back when I was but a pup. He's not a furre, but he adored the rants, even the completely furry related ones. The whole group then got into an animated conversation over them, having heard them through ones means or another from either of us, and I had a really surreal moment when I realized that not a single person was a furre, although I'm pretty sure the group know about the community. Now, I'll admit that 2's rants can appeal to a broad spectrum of people because the true charm is his masterful use of creative language, but I still thought it was pretty damn cool hanging out with a group of people talking about a furry comedian without being furres themselves. I was just wondering if any of you guys had moments like this, or even just simple things like the random person commenting on how cool a furry-related shirt you're wearing is (Although the feral shirts are pretty damn cool) or anything like that... ?
I've had people comment on my pony shirts - I guess that's sort of furry. Particularly, I was wearing my Rainbow Dash cutie mark shirt and someone commented that it was cool, but when I asked if he knew what the significance of it was, he had no clue.
Mainly for the fact that there's no binary furry/non-furry conversation which makes it easy for one to slip in a random furry moment with non-furries. :)
My best friend once gave me a DVD copy of all his porn.. folders and folders of the stuff, he use to be BI-ish but now pretty much solely prefers fems.. well on this DVD not only was there furry porn... but also some gay furry porn.
Now that's an ice breaker!
My four-year-old cousin once begged for me to let her wear the handpaws and nubbin tail to one of my suits. :P I didn't have a problem with it, so she ran around the house with them on yowling like a cat for maybe half an hour.
(My aunt joked that she was being converted. xD)

Did you get your toaster yet?
I have plenty of moments where I could just continue to post after post, but the most recent I could think of is when I was wearing my new hoodie i had gotten for my bday, Its a Wonderboltz from MLP. I was stopped by these guys in a car who were blasting Ponystep MLP pony related dubstep... and they actually gave me a free ride to the skytrain station at stadium.. I thought it was odd, but they couldn't stop going on about how MLP was awesome, I got the hoodie as a gift, haven't watched the show much to be a fan of it, but I'm surprised how many vancouverites are into it xD

Nice. I've got one of those hoodies too.
Now I wonder if "those guys" are anyone I know, since I'm involved with the local brony group as well.

did you get the hoodie online? I've been wanting a mlp hoodie for a while.
I don't have these kind of moments. Most likely because my furry life and my not furry life are very well separated. Although I had a friend overhear me refer to myself as a bear once and had to cover it up as a reference to being a large, hairy, gay man.
The drawing on the wall of a most definitely non-furry friend who's new apartment I had not seen yet: "That's me, if I was a wolf." One awkward conversation later...nope, definitely not a furry. XD
Also, my roommate loses her composure if I say that something has ruined my face and she understands what a "White Queen" is. I suppose this doesn't really count though, as its a guilty by association situation.

I got it from WeLoveFine at Everfree. Here they are online (http://www.welovefine.com/3629-wonderbolts-hoodie.html), but they're sold out at the moment.
