Decided to check on VAF yahoogroup and was surprised to find "vaf" yahoogroup was now a non-furry organization.
Original VAF group either moved or deleted, then (probably a few months later) new "vaf" yahoogroup created "Feb 15, 2012")
Is VAF defunct? Or has it moved somewhere else?

I came across VAF a couple years ago and no one seemed to be making any posts a couple years before that. I'd just call it done. The people that posted on it probably moved on into there own groups or are just waiting for the right parties to pop into.
VAF as a group is gone.
The other group (VFur) is now what we call BCFurries Forum.
The core of the vaf group mostly moved away or left the fandom.
I should also clarify that there was never an official handoff from vfur to bcfurries. It was just organic that people decided to post here instead.
The remaining members of VAF still hang out, but don't have a forum or mailing list, we just text/twitter each other when we want to do something, lol
VAF/VFUR was childish bullshit used by both groups to feel better about themselves for no reason.

A splinter group from vfur, it was created in 2001 as a place for more 'covert' furs to connect and hang out.
Covert, huh...
