Hey everyone, I'm trying to get a suit finished in time for VancouFur and am having some trouble finding the right color of fur. :3
The color I'm looking for is TARDIS blue.

Basically an intense sort of navy. I'd prefer the 'old' shade over the new super-bright one but either works. C: Does anyone know where I could find this? Local would be nice but either that or online works. I need longpile, at least 1 inch.

I'm not sure if you're willing too, but Mendel's might have the color you're looking for.
Locally, you could always try Dressew, and if not, certain Fabric Land locations all across the mainland might have some, but it's very rare.

Ooh, thank you for that link--I've ordered swatches from them; hopefully it'll match closely enough. ^U^ Their Royal looks about right.
I know this might be a bit late, but I was in Fabricana in Coquitlam this afternoon, and they had two shaggy blues in stock...The one seemed simular to what you are looking for. Not the highest quality stuff mind you, but probably close.
I'm trying to find some reddish-orange fur for a fox I'm working on...if anyone happens to see any in their travels. I don't get downtown much, curious if dressew has anything like that in stock right now.

Distinctive Fabric and Mendels both have this shade of blue, labelled 'Royal Blue' i believe. or 'Cookie Monster Blue'
while DF's is the fur we used for Stix (it's nearly 3" long, and a but coarse), Mendels is what Gaomon (Tai) used for his suit. it's softer, and a little shorter (approximately 2").
both are comparable in price, especially if you ship it to a US address, and pick it up from there. honestly, it ends up being cheaper than anything from dressew, and higher quality as well.
