Star Wars: The Old Republic, anyone else playing?
Not I. Having spent hundreds of dollars on Warcraft over the years I'm never touching another subscription based game again.
Hehe good call, oh well I'm having fun with it :D
I just got SWTOR a week ago. It's soooo good! My main character is a Sith Marauder.
Coooool, I have a Jedi sage. What server do you play on? :D

I play on Drooga's Pleasure Barge. My mate and I thought the name of the server was entertaining. What server are you on?
Lol that's an awesome server name!
I'm on Jekk Jekk Tar
There's some pretty big LGBT guilds on it if that's your thing, and me! :D
Are you playing through the storyline with your mate? Me and my buddy from new york are doing that it's pretty fun :D

That was the plan, except when we got the game installed and sat down to play, I kept experiencing really bad lag on my laptop and could barely move. It was really frustrating!
The game played just fine on his computer. At first I suspected that my laptop just doesn't have sufficient capabilities to run the game, except that the game did work okay on my laptop for a little while, so I don't know. My knowledge on computers is limited.
He thinks it might be our internet package, and that running the game on both machines just draws too much bandwidth. We have the basic internet package, so we ordered the next one up with a way higher bandwidth allowance to see if that maybe corrects the issue. They are sending us a new modem for that this week. Hopefully that fixes it. So for now, we have been taking turns using his computer. We got a new 40' flatscreen a few months ago and use that as a monitor for his computer, and omg, the graphics look so good on the flatscreen!
*drooooool* I should hook up to my tv to play someday would be so epic! Yea I'm not that great with computers either but I'm suspecting the same thing he is I think you need more bandwidth. Have you tried running it on your laptop only? If its still too laggy with sufficient bandwidth you might have more problems >.<
As much as it would be cool to play with you guys rerolling kinda sucks so you don't have to >.<
I haven't been getting much time to play anyways and when I do play its with my Jedi sage and his master haha my new york friend plays the master and calls me padawan all the time >.< it's cute
So were you at gizmos party? I'm trying to figure out if I met you! XD
I won a draw at an EA event at my school which included a bunch of games, and SW:TOR is one of them. Not sure when I'm going to install it though - I have no plans to play it past the 30 day trial. I played in the beta a couple times and didn't really care for the game, but from what I hear from a friend, it gets much better way later on.

We tried running it on just the laptop, and it worked with minimal lag for a bit then got bad then got decent sooo... I don't know. It may be the laptop, the connection, or both. We'll have to see.

Yeah, for now I think I'll be playing my Sith. I really enjoy the way my character is shaping up. I find I really like how story-driven this game is, and how there are a variety of verbal responses and actions to choose from that allow you to interact with the NPCs and companions in different ways. Sort of reminds me of those old choose your own adventures.
Although, to be honest, I haven't gotten to play as much as I'd like too either.

I wasn't able to make it to the January potluck, although I was there for the December one. Actually, the December potluck was my first event that I attended, as I found this site only a few months ago. Were you at the December potluck?
Well I hope you manage to get it working cus playing with a friend is reeeelly fun :)
Yeah me to! Not many mmos are this story driven and it's really awesome to see your character given voice and personality, I find I'm more attached to my character than I've ever been in any other mmo. I've been taking it really slow to, I've had it since launch and my main is like lvl 30.
Nah I wasn't at the December potluck, January was my first. I'm a newb to >.< lol
I'm guessing not so much...but is anyone playing on The Harbinger server? That's where my main is and I'm reluctant to leave. :p
