: GURPS Space RPG

I'm considering running an interstellar science fiction game using GURPS (http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/). This would be in New Westminster, not far from Sapperton Skytrain station on either Sundays or Tuesdays, ideally weekly. I'd like three or four players.

A free light version of the rules is available online (http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/lite/) and I'm more than happy to provide help to those unfamiliar with the system.

Anyone interested in playing?

Sounds like it might be fun. I have a copy of .. -goes back to check, then edits post a little- Turns out I have two copies of GURPs basic set book from long ago. Thought I just had the one, huh... A 3rd edition and 3rd edition revised. (Have they done any more revisions since?) I never got to use them and occasionally I would poke through it for something to get ideas from.

Also space related, I have some books from Dreampod 9's Jovian Chronicles that caught my interest back in the day. I wasn't able to find other players for it at the time. (Love the build system though)

They're on 4th Edition now, but the differences between 3rd Edition Revised and Fourth are not horribly major -- they're close enough that many of the books for 3rd edition are still usable in 4th edition. GURPS Update (http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/update/) is a free guide to converting characters between the systems.

I'm not familiar with Jovian Chronicles so I can't really comment on it, unfortunately, but I'm certainly familiar with not being able to find players, especially for anything that's not D&D related.
