Just thought I'd throw that out there. There really isn't quite a dance section, but felt this was the most fitting.
Certainly there's some people who like to get their grove on? If you do, do you practice at all, what kind of stuff do you end up doing, what kind of music do you like to listen to when you dance?
Just looking for more people to interac with a little on the subject. I've always been interested in dancing myself, but I can't say I'm very well versed in it. Been trying to learn new stuff lately, and the occasional practice here or there, but it's slow going.
Admittedly, I have never danced before, and never ever envisioned that I would. But a very close friend of mine has been convincing me to try shit that I normally wouldn't be caught dead doing, and I'm growing interest in learning how to dance, so I would like to +1 to the OP and encourage any input to this thread. =)
I will sometimes dance when the mood takes me to do so. The kind of music I like to dance to is very broad and ranges from metal to dubstep. As long as it's pleasing to the ears, I'll likely dance to it.
My actual technique isn't very refined. It's mostly just going with the rhythm and a lot of improv. I have thought about looking into choreography classes. Think they'd be fun and pretty good exercise.
Did any of you guys end up at any of the Elecktrofuzz events in Vancouver?
Also to kind of chirp in myself about what I end up doing, I haven't done a lot of dancing myself. Well, I have usually 'once a year' thing at Anthrocon. Usually the music there is some form of electronic or remix. I'm still kind of learning all the types of music myself.
Always been a big fan of moving to music, but have never really gotten the chance to act it out or learn much on the subject. This year though I've made a sort of resolution to learn it. By learn it I mean I've been looking into popping, tutting, shuffling, gliding among other things.
There happens to be a group on FA just for dance furs as well that anyone interested I'd recommend to look up. They have a lot of inspirational posts, and informative links to names of dance styles incase you're a noob like me :) : http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dancerfurs (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dancerfurs)
I swear it's so difficult to discuss stuff on this forum.
Anyone in The GVA at least interested in dance? MSN? Skype? Might be a better more interesting way to keep in contact, organize something, ect.
I'm interested in learning how to dance. I can't dance, at all, but I do enjoy spectating at dances! :monocle: I want to learn how to take part without making myself look silly.
I created a thread myself recently, but after a few days of inactivity and several views I gave up on the idea rather quickly.
I love too dance, I was popular in school for it. Why that is, because people loved the way I danced. The style is lock/flow/robot/Micheal jackson and Christophor Walken style of dance, and I'm able too dance too many genres of music. The best part is......I never had any dance lessons XP
