: DOSbox, anyone?

Heh, just got DOSbox again last night.

DOSbox is a DOS emulator that can emulate different DOS games, and emulate them playing on different DOS platforms, in case you had a favourite.

It works perfectly on Windows 7, been playing Blood for the past few nights. :P
If you still have an old copy of Duke Nukem or Doom lying around, you'll be able to play those again.
I recommend reading the FAQ over thoroughly, for any newbies trying it out -- it's a little hard to wrap your head around at first.

I actually booted this up a week ago when I found my collection of old DOS games, which includes Doom and a bunch of Lucas Arts games like Star Wars: Rebel Assault and Maniac Mansion :3
Good times.

Sweet stuff. :3
I've played through a good chunk of Powerslave, too. Decent shooter.
Is Maniac Mansion good?

I've got Day of the Tentacle (the sequel) to be specific xP

Yeah it's pretty great. Adventure games like that aren't my thing anymore but I played them all the time when I was quite young.

DOS was already being faded out of use when I was a kid, but I remember my dad running DOS on our uh, Windows 98 I think, and playing Magic Carpet 2. Rather liked that game actually, wouldn't mind playing it again...
